It's completely insane to that billionaire pedophiles are destroying America, and a huge chunk of everyday, normal people are choosing to side with the billionaire pedophiles

It's a whirlwind of shit. I think if sane people were more active in contacting their representatives and demanding accountability we'd be in a lot better spot (or moving towards there at least). I also think most people have zero experience getting active, so they don't really know where to begin.
Plus, the whirlwind of shit is so chaotic it's hard for anyone to even get their bearings. Where to even begin, you know? I got as far as calling my senator's office in Washington. The craziest part was a lady actually picked up the phone. It completely caught me off guard.

I jumped off this ride when the President of the U.S. called covid a hoax
and then proceeded to get air lifted for the disease he called a hoax.
Then they re-elected that same guy.
The fact that those same morons voted for a cabal of billionaire pedophiles
who trafficked and raped teenage girls is unfortunately is not that surprising.
Just think how crazy it is to declare a disease a hoax and then almost die from that disease.
We live in a new dark age.

If someone is a billionaire it's 95% likely to be a ped. Might as well just call billionaires the pedo-class from here out.
FactorBusy6427@reddit
The rape of teenage girls pales in comparison to the rape and torture of babies described in the files
pjs999@reddit
every time i see a list of the brutality exacted on the youngest, i notice something missing and i think its because the enormity of the cruelty and horror exceeds our capacity to comprehend or accept. in this case, its the cannibalism. leaders raped and cannibalized babies. how many young people have perished at the hands of these absolute monsters?
Ultra-Smurfmarine@reddit
When I was reading up on the files, I remember the level of absolute bewilderment and derealization I felt with just the things we know 100% for a fact happened.
I was talking with my weekly DnD group about it, and I posited that if I wrote a campaign where the villain faction did literally nothing other than stuff we know beyond any doubt the people currently in power do, regularly and gleefully, my players would revolt because I made the villain too evil to ever be a believable human being. Normal folks genuinely can not comprehend the level of evil on display.
Skyrah1@reddit
This is just the stuff that we know of so far. I can't imagine any other skeletons in their closet are any less disturbing.

Multiple research projects have shown that a) stupid people are more likely to be conservative and b) stupid people are more likely to be violent.
The people who support these disgusting monstrosities are largely dumb uneducated fucks who are easily led.
treedecor@reddit
I bet a significant part of that goes back to how the conservatives slowly destroyed the public education system. They effectively dumbed down portions of an entire generation. For example, I look at how people my age act and then remember that No Child Left Behind was passed when I was a kid.
That being said, I really hope those types aren't the majority, but I'm trapped in a red state so it kinda feels that way đĽ˛

Teachers are forced by the school systems to teach based on acing standardized tests and nothing more. School administrators and school boards are usually conservative, and they're the ones deciding all of this. See the 10 Commandments law in backwater state LA.
PotentialOneLZY5@reddit
If that was the case why would they hire over 80% liberal teachers? Why did President Trump get rid of the US dept of education? Step back and think with an independent mind for a minute. I started my education before Jimmy Carter, when you still got the board of education at school. Ive seen the down fall of education and how students have lost all respect for the school system.
BayouGal@reddit
School boards and state governments are pretty much in charge of what and how the students are taught. The teachers have very little control.
IsuzuTrooper@reddit
conservatives think there is a man in the heavens controlling everything. which there isn't in case you are confused. they also want to force your mom or daughter to carry a rapist's baby to term
lgodsey@reddit
It become like this by accident. Conservatives have been engineering a dim and pliable base for decades. The right swaddles their followers in comfortable racism and ignorance. Teachers and academics are denigrated by conservatives, resulting in not only dumb people, but PROUD dumb people. Conservative propaganda was carefully tuned to scare and enrage old white people into being terrified of their own neighbors. Bubbles shrink and bigotry and misinformation is amplified and echoed.
When Trump and his MAGA filth are gone, we will still have to deal with these anti-democratic white nationalists primed to accept fascism.

It's so much older than decades. We brought it with us from Europe. It's right there in our hero-victim myths about running from oppression and searching for liberty and justice. Poverty among whites and abuse by the wealthy has always been very widespread. That's why we're here in the first place.
And what did we do once we got here? We genocided several million Native Americans off the face of the planet in three hundred years of nonstop warfare, so we could have all their land. When we were done, as reflected by the 1900 census, there were only 237K remaining alive in the entire country. People fully expected them to all die off from reservation poverty, disease and alcoholism.
We established legal slavery only twenty years after the Mayflower. That persisted for 221 more years, followed by another century of Jim Crow segregation and oppression. Black Americans were so locked out of the American economic pie that to this day their median wealth is only 15% that of white Americans.
What happened after we ended legal slavery? We had the gilded age! It just got worse and worse. Scholars state that in 1920 the poverty rate among Americans was 60% of the population.
Finally Americans got a clue, not entirely due to their own virtues; new political models were sweeping all western nations and societies in response to the fall of centuries of monarchies and inherited aristocracies. They elected FDR and got the New Deal. The New Deal and the three and a half decades following it were the only period in American history when white working people got a fair shake. But white people made up 90% of the population, so its benefits were widespread. It was the most egalitarian period in country's three hundred-plus year history, both as colonies and as a nation. We taxed the stink out of the wealthy and kept the wealth gap much, much smaller than it is today.
It died in 1980 with Ronald Reagan. This is what happens when people allow wealth disparity. Even egalitarian societies have their problem citizens, but they aren't dominated by them as we are and as we have always been. Wealth disparity selects for ruthlessness, and we always end up being ruled by the worst humans among us, with few exceptions. FDR was on exception, and they certainly tried to assassinate him for it.
We never wise up. Ever. Not in centuries and centuries. We just keep trying to make this system "fair," and we had one short two-generation period where we did make it. Otherwise, no. If we were either smarter creatures or more moral creatures, we could do it. But we don't appear to be either one.
BayouGal@reddit
Are we not going to consider the role that far-right religion and for-profit churches are playing? Their propaganda is just as bad as Faux News.

Unless by "reaching out" to the representatives with something other than harsh language, that kind of thing doesn't matter. It never did, it was all just social and political theater, but I was hoping this Epstein thing would help people see that the system doesn't work and needs to be torn down.
Your representatives don't care what you say, or how you vote. They were all a part of this mess, either by knowing and doing nothing or by outright participation.
Burn it all down. You want a solution, there is it. Torches and pitchforks, but modernized.
WrongThinkBadSpeak@reddit
Jan 6 proved how easy it is to storm the modern bastille
Vegetaman916@reddit
Yeah... Except Jan 6th didn't do anything. They achieved exactly nothing. Because it is just a building filled with people, most of whom were useless government civilians. They could have stormed it, massacred everyone, then burned it to the ground, and the military, which is all that matters, wouldn't have been effected in the slightest.
kerriganfan@reddit
Exactly. The "real" power in any country is control over the military. Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.
Scomosuckseggs@reddit
Easy to talk about burning it all down, much harder to actually do so.
Vegetaman916@reddit
Not really. At this point, all we have to do is... Nothing. Stop participating and wait. It will crumble and burn on its own.

Proposing to burn it all down is virtually the same as doing nothing. Who's going to do the burning. You?
Vegetaman916@reddit
I've burned some stuff before, lol... But seriously, "burning it down" doesn't have to mean fire. Ceasing participation in the system, especially as a taxpayer, helps a bit. Work to drain the system and further the damage wherever you can, and if enough people live that way, then...

One of the most toxic aspects of "American exceptionalism" is the myth of easy class mobility, the lie that 'if you work hard enough, you will be a billionaire too in this divinely blessed land of opportunity.'
Of course, it's bullshit.
Study after study has shown that in the US, most people who are born into a given economic class remain in that class throughout their lives. If you're born to a poor family, you will probably remain poor no matter how hard you work. If you are a member of the Lucky Sperm Club, you will have a comfortable life and probably won't work yourself to death.
Layer this myth on top of widespread evangelical belief in Prosperity Gospel -- the notion that God rewards faith with personal wealtg when that faith is expressed through financial giving to the church -- and you begin to understand why the US is such fertile ground for grifters like Trump and his slimy ilk.
The only antidotes to this sort of craven and uniquely American opportunism are better universal education and taxation of all churches. Neither will ever happen in a country where a liberal education is seen as an enemy of an oligarchy and where a third of the populace believes in a vengeful Sky Daddy.
NyriasNeo@reddit
"It's completely insane"
Why is it insane? It is just apathy plus self-interests. The poor are too busy surviving. The top 20% are too busy enjoying life. The middle, any of them left, are too busy dreaming and working towards being rich.
For the poor, who is on top does not matter as long as I can make rent and groceries, and spend all my day playing my PS5. For the rich, who is on the top does not matter as long as my portfolio goes up 20%.
The whole thing is a giant prisoner's dilemma, tragedy of the commons.
"Drill baby drill" won. That tells you everything you need to know.
hotacorn@reddit
The insanity portion of it is thatâs itâs entirely unsustainable and a sizable portion of people across classes understand that. Yeah the day to day actions of individuals are as you describe, a prisoner dilemma but that is going to break when the system runs out of juice.

The Arrogance of Power: The Real Lesson of the Epstein Files
"Looking at the extreme example of Trump, if you disentangle the behaviour that is due to his accelerating senility and his traumatizing past, you see a guy who is utterly unapologetic for saying, while laughing, on camera, that when women donât do what you want, you have to âgrab âem by the pussyâ. His comments on the Epstein Files have made it quite clear that now that his censors have released millions of emails that arenât âabout Meâ, he no longer sees what the fuss is all about and why anyone still cares about their content. The problem for him, obviously, isnât that the files reveal disgusting and illegal behaviour, itâs that the perpetrators (at least the ones revealed so far) got caught and now have to face public reaction â distracting public attention from the demented king.
Worse, itâs quite clear that he, just like Ghislaine Maxwell, doesnât really think anything that Epstein and the thousands of people in the patriciate (including Trump, if/when his incriminating emails ever get out) did was morally wrong. Just a bunch of bros hanging together and doing bro stuff. The lion always eats the lamb. If the âalleged victimsâ, he is undoubtedly saying, didnât scream and run away, then they were either stupid or complicit â and hence there was no crime, legal or moral. This is, of course, the typical rationalization of pimps and johns (and of drug pushers). If everyone around you is a pimp or a john, you come to see this as normal behaviour. If you exploit an addictâs behaviour, or that of someone weak or in desperate need, you rationalize that thatâs no reflection on you.
Once you get infected with the patriciate mindset, everyone and everything outside the patriciate becomes disposable without a thought or care: Children, women, animals, ideological opponents, nations, the environment, âotherâ ethnic groups, the poor, the sick, the weak, people who have what you want and believe you âdeserveâ (Greenland perhaps, or Palestineâs land, or Iranâs oil, or the Washington Post, or Twitter). They are all tolerated while they are of use to you and available to you, and then cease to be important and can be discarded.
This is not an âeliteâ predilection. Itâs way too big for that. It is ubiquitous in our society. Political leaders and groups, government and institutional administrators and their groups, entertainment and sports stars and associations, business and âprofessionalâ leaders and clubs, university leaders and clubs, religious leaders and associations, gurus of every stripe, leaders and cadres and âinâ groups in the military, in the media, in the sciences, in the arts, among cops and prison guards, street gangs and crime syndicates, and also wherever any kind of âhazingâ or other abusive rituals of membership rear their ugly head â everywhere that wealth, fame, authority and hence power is or can be concentrated, you will find layers of the patriciate. Power corrupts everywhere.
And just to stress, the patriciate is not âorganizedâ by anyone. This is not a tight cabal conspiring in secret to do nefarious things. It is insidious because it preys on our essential human nature, our malleability, our hunger for recognition and reassurance, our addictive tendencies in search of the next shot of dopamine, and our intense desire to belong and âfit inâ. We get seduced into its outer layers easily, and then just as easily slide into âhigherâ layers where the reinforcement of privilege, impunity, recognition, faithful âbrotherhoodâ, belonging, and the easy spoils of power (âmoney for nothing and your chicks for freeâ) entrench us and blind us to the abuses and horrors we are inflicting on others and on the world. More than being âinvitedâ, we quietly ask to belong. And soon we are conditioned to be part of it, with all the arrogance, self-certainty, intolerance, obliviousness to criticism, sense of impunity, and sense of privilege that goes with that. Everyone is vulnerable to being sucked into it.

We all know what needs to happen and itâs not going to be letters and phone calls. If You live in a small town and your poor check to check just scraping by like most people I know , not a lot you can do and it was structured to be that way. Health insurance is tied to work, not a lot of places to work, ainât no money anywhere. It all just feels so pointless. The Protesting isnât going anywhere the same old tactics lead to the same old ending. Both parties are complicit in the exploitation of workers at unprecedented levels not to mention the Cabal of pedophiles. And a genocide of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians. The conversations of hope lead to momentary inspiration for movement building. Then eventually die out people get consumed with their own personal lives and media black outs or lies like â pulling out of Minneapolisâ even though nothingâs changing, but weâre just not hearing about it and the concentration camps are being built throughout the country. eventually the people that have been showing up burn out you hear the same things. I canât miss work, I need to worry about myself too, I have kids, and things get worse and worse and worse. The headlines roll in another new atrocity another new killing another new concentration camp being built, but the rents due iâm behind on my phone bill and the deductible for my dentist appointment is going to use up the rest of my savings. Greedy-Cicada6918@reddit
Very good trying to describe it like this. But you guys are forgetting the most important part that everyone of you is afraid of losing this CURSED PEACE. Eventually with time, when it will turn its back on you, none will be able to do anything. Its either you overthrow them first or they will enslave you. A famous quote rises from the depths a philosopher once said "EAT HE RICH". It comes from 18th or 19th century france when poverty was everywhere, 3 class distinctions, 1st are the noble rich and kings (todays billionaires and presidents) and the 3rd class the poverty stricken ppl. Eventually ppl rose and destroyed that class beginning to revolutionize.
The same is happening today, bill gates saying everywhere that vaccines will make ppl sick and make them infertile. We will make them sick through science.
Soo, if not now then when will you crush them?? Not to mention, even 95 percent of the police system of us are in a cult. Thats why they wont be revolting alongside you. This situation is a DO or DIE.

Just had to throw in that 'both sides'
One of the reasons dems never get anything done is because they dont ever have a significant majority and therefore can be hamstrung by a few outliers like sinema and manchin.
One of the big reasins they can never get a larger majority is the constant purity testing online. Especially on social media where well meaning progressives end up parroting anti-dem slander thereby turning off potential voters. Its a self fulfilling prophecy.
Theres no wtrong progressive party in the US. Its incremental progress with Dems or accelerationism with the other side.
Do you really think social programs will arise more quickly while rebuilding from collapse? There wont be any foodstamps/ medicare/ medicaid in the midst of a revolution. Thats something to be mindful of if youre worried about vulnerable populations.
Wonder-Wild@reddit
If that were true, CA would have Medicare for all. Sinema and Manchin are what are called "rotating villains". You're falling for all of the Dems excuses/tricks and need to realize they serve the same donor class.
absurdeverything@reddit
Nah, this whole âboth sidesâ argument is just for republicans who supported this blatantly obvious mess of corruption, a way to try and throw everyone into the boiling pot, to rationalize and protect themselves from accountability. âItâs not just us, itâs everyoneâŚand whataboutismâ
Wonder-Wild@reddit
Billionaires, Dems, and Republicans love that you still think this way.
absurdeverything@reddit
Just to add, who are the billionaires supporting? The tech oligarchs? DOGE? Georgia just found Elon Musk guilty of election fraud/voter related violations⌠not to mention Palantir and Peter Thielâs support for Trump and his questionable, if not dangerous, political theory. Yes, there are criminals on both sides, but to actively support one party who are continuously pushing constitutional boundaries, if not straight up ignoring them, is supporting the erosion of democracy and helping to fuel whatever the hell their ultimate plan is.
Wonder-Wild@reddit
I'm not sure why you say I support that side. I don't. The billionaires support both sides, you can look at their contributions. They typically start off by donating equally to both sides, then when it's clear one or the other will win, they pick their winner and double down. Big tech were famously big backers of Obama.
absurdeverything@reddit
So you think someone else would have pardoned January 6 criminals, drug lords, graciously accept money in exchange for pardons, start a âBoard of Peaceâ designating Trump himself as chairman for life, involve themselves in business with the Saudis, start a cryptocurrency called $TRUMP, which is a meme coin associated with him and operates on the Solana blockchain. Not to mention a thousand other questionable if not straight up illegal acts.
Wonder-Wild@reddit
Trump is uniquely despicable, there's no denying it. But I'm not blinded by partisanship to think only Republicans are despicable. Dems are typically just smarter about concealing their self serving (aka Nancy Pelosi insider trading) and are good at offering glimmers of hope before they bring in their rotating villains (Sinema, Manchin, the parliamentarian) that block progress. I have no interest in arguing whether Dems are better than Republicans. They objectively are and it's obvious. But they're also not good and as long as people think Dems are always "cleaning up" messes instead of being complicit in the mess, there will be no progress.
absurdeverything@reddit
Yes, we do need a significant change to progress.
chefkoolaid@reddit
Its almost like there are lots of republicans in CA too. Hmmm.
It was the same donor class up until two thousand sixteen. But the thing you've missed is that since that period the right has been supported more by crypto fascists than by the heritage foundation. And we're currently seeing the product of that support
If you're not supporting the side, that is opposing the fascists. You have made a mistake.
And yes, I know you're going to save the dems are not opposing much because they pitifully are not. However, you cannot be delusional enough to think that ice or any of these things would be happening in this manner. If trump had lost the election
Wonder-Wild@reddit
Both parties vote to increase funding for ice. They both want a police state.
CA Dems typically have super majorities. You'd think high speed rail, free childcare, taxing billionaires, healthcare, low cost university, etc would be a reality in CA.
GuayFuhks88@reddit
We wont ever have a strong 3rd party until we replace FPTP with RCV and it's why it's one of the very few things that both parties are united against.
It would be one of the most transformative single changes in our political system and it could up end the entire power dynamic.
chefkoolaid@reddit
Ok. Well, the best shot towards making progress would be to reform through the democratic party. You've already admitted third parties won't work and other party are fascists, so
Either in a mental progress or revolution, which has no guarantees of success. No protections during the midst of it.

liatrisinbloom@reddit
My guess is that's what they aspire to be.
You take the average MAGA and there's the turbulent hate fueled by the need to be more powerful than someone else and be validated on a systemic level, paired with their "temporarily embarrassed millionaire" mindset, and you get: "once Trump rearranges society so that my cohort ranks above all those undermensch, I'll be in a position to emulate the billionaires."
-Rehsinup-@reddit
That's a different claim than that close to half of Americans are pedophiles, which is statistically extremely unlikely. You've basically just said that everyone who behaves as a temporarily displaced billionaire is also an aspiring pedophile. Might be effective rhetoric, but it's almost certainly false.
No_Panic_4999@reddit
Most child molesters arent actual pedophiles.CSA is endemic to patriarchy. Sexual abuse is almost always about power, not desire. Ppl seem to understand this in regard to adult rape.Â
Even the ones to abuse pre-pubescent kids are not usually pedophiles. Ppl who work in the field and study this refer to them as "opportunists".Â
Pedophilia is quite rare, child sex abuse is pandemic. Most perps are regular het men living in a patriarchal cultures with a subclinical narcissistic or sociopathic streak, acting out power issues on the most vulnerable person they have access to. Often when dealing with feelings of frustration, impotence, failure or powerlessness.Â
Real pedos do disproportionate damage though because they have an addiction pretty much. And will put themself in a position to abuse many many kids. Most opportunists only hurt one or two they live with/around.Â
Child sex abusers arent some monster illness of strangers out there. They are our fathers, brothers, uncles, friends. Something like 20% of kids are sex abused almost always by someone in their home or bery close.
There is no difference between most offenders and other men, except that they offended.Â
And thats too terrifying. Its easier to think its all done sexually deviant paraphilia disease.Â
Its a cultural problem. The more authoritarian, hierarchal patriarchal and power/greed oriented a community, the more problens with child sex abuse. This is why it thrives in conservative religious environments. Sure, 1 case can happen anywhere.Â
But theres a reason its white Evangelicals, Catholic church, Mormons (esp the crazy offshoot), and even Amish that this keeps popping up in.
Theres a reason Quakers and Episcopalians arent having such scandals.Â
-Rehsinup-@reddit
I honestly don't know how to respond to this. I don't disagree with your position. But it's very different than the one I was originally responding to. I hope anyone else who comes across this thread recognizes that before assuming I'm some kind of sexual assault apologist. Because I'm obviously not. I'm just politely advocating against moral panic and for epistemic vigor.
liatrisinbloom@reddit
I doubt that most of those named in the Epstein files started their careers with the explicit goal of doing the things that put them in the Epstein files. I suspect that in a majority of the cases, the natural correlation of sociopathic tendencies and acquisition of real power positive-feedback-looped itself into the monstrosity we find on our hands.
In the 2000s and such, conservatives were against homosexuals receiving equal rights because they thought it would lead to pedophilia. Well this certainly is awkward. I have no remorse turning their own rhetoric against them - acquisition of power leads to an abundance of indulgences to partake in, and eventually the only way to get that sweet sweet dopamine high is to dial the taboo factor to infinity and drill past the bottom of hell in terms of morality.
-Rehsinup-@reddit
I can agree with all that â and I think I largely do â and still contest or doubt the claim/implication that 100-150 million Americans are pedophiles, which is at extreme odds with scientific research on the topic.
liatrisinbloom@reddit
That's fine. I don't actually think that either. But these people are so psychotic that I don't give them the benefit of the doubt. They're the same crowd that whines about how violent the left is while drooling over the great violent Purge they're going to inflict on the left Any Day Now. They are a danger to themselves, but more importantly, others.

The billionaires have better public relations messaging than we do, because they think they own or can intimidate major media outlets. Our networking here and elsewhere, on the other hand, says" oh hell no you don't." Their thinking derives from mid 20th century information structures of distributing journalistic content.

Yes, people forget that a large part of the population was in favor of segregation only a few decades ago. Those people are not only still alive but running the country. They are Trump's and Bernie Sanders generation. They are a large percentage of congress.
You can see the pictures of Bernie getting arrested fighting against them and segregation.

What gets me is how lazy most Americans are. I truly believe in the power of boycotting and spending or not spending in a way that matches your values. So many close to me don't believe it makes sense. Ok..look at Target, Ring, etc. It does make a difference if you put in the effort. But convenience is king in the US. I call and rant/yell at my senators/reps. Donate where I can. I have moved to a different OS now owned by google. It's doable but takes effort.

The collapse of the United States means freedom for many other countries, which have had their democratic processes disrupted by its repeated and ongoing violent interventions. It is the sponsor and close partner of most of the autocratic regimes in the world today.

The amount of shit spinning in the shitnado is not different, nor any more urgent than it always has been. The difference between today and "yesterday" is the social media algorithm amplifying your preferred echo chamber.
The sheer tonnage of "no-nukes" pending environmental catastrophe was significantly higher in the 1970's. I was in grade school then, and it was a dominant and constant theme that Mother Earth would not survive the century. The Watergate, Iran-Contra, MK Ultra, Iran Hostages, Pentagon Papers, school riots, ABSCAM, Vietnam War, Chilean Coup, Oil Crisis, Economic Crisis, Church Committee, and more are all individually more serious than today's political controversies. As the 1980's began, Liberals were the evil ones, and covert government coverups involved in the school busing riots alone make the Epstein files seem like just an irritating gaggle of connected perverts (not to diminish what went on).
I don't want to diminish what is currently going on, but to someone who has been paying attention for decades, contemporary issues are mild by comparison.
What DOES concern me is the electric grid and the rising indication of massive fraud, corporate collusion (with foreign companies), corruption, misinformation, and massive waste in the wanton race to renewable energy in states like NY (where I live). By now, residents were promised a "renewable energy credit" in our electric bills that would equal 10% of our bill, rising to 30% in 2028. Our recent bill of $680 ($390 this time last year) included a renewable credit of $0.83. The massive cost overruns of installing staggeringly underperforming solar farms are the primary culprits (and a moderate hail storm wiped out an entire large solar farm near the shore of Lake Ontario). We experienced three power outages here in rural NY this winter due to grid overload.

These are all very good points, but I can never get on board when people start talking about how other decades were worse. Why are we dividing up history into slices and pretending like they're all seperate bubbles? All the stuff you mentioned from the 70s and 80s, 2001, 2008, etc. lead to the situation we're in today. We never reached any good solutions for any of those problems, so they've all compounded and shit has just slowly gotten less and less sustainable.
Political donations have grown; the wealth gap has grown; cost of living, education, and healthcare has grown. Global tensions have simmered, but they're definitely growing towards a boiling point again. If China attacks Taiwan all hell will break loose, and the prospect is absolutely terrifying with Trump in charge.

More_Farm_7442@reddit
No by god, I've contacted by reps. The thing is they are all HUGE MAGAts. Trump can do no wrong in any of their minds. It is absolutely a waste of time and effort to contact them and complain or make your stance on an issue known to them. They already know their constiuents' standing on issues, but the only opinions that matter to them are their MAGA constituents' opinions. Any mail, email, and call they get from non-MAGA "fans" is ignored.

Just be careful that what comes next is actually in your best interest if you start tearing down what is here. Has anyone built anything? I am all for seeing the establishments that have imprisoned humanity for so long go away because they are all only existing off of fear, but, I also know that when things like this happens, releasing some information that will create a high degree of emotion in the masses it's not an accident. These things are done always because there is some plan already in place by these monsters who want to move us into some new type of society that we would never agree to if it's just presented to us. For example, we would never agree to TSA in our airports and zero privacy had they offered it, tell us a handful of people used planes as weapons and show us 9/11 horrors and not only did we feel ok about it we demanded it! Not everyone but most did, and it's a tactic they always use, problem/reaction/solution.

It's a size problem. In huge populations there's very little citizens can do unless they go all out war like in Iran. We saw what happened.

Just as a side note: we in the EU just managed to postpone a law that would make every chat service provider obligated to let some governmental body scan every chat message. Their reasoning: they want to scan for CP. The catch: there's an exception for, drum roll... the government itself (and military etc.). Because, as we all know, there are no CP enjoyers in the government. Nope, not at all

Keep in mind they designed modern society to be mentally, emotionally and psychologically exhausting so that most folks would not have the energy or empathy to care until it is too late.
Just look at the famous Martin Niemoler quote about how he didn't care what the Nazis were doing until they came for him.
Our news media has been manipulated to emphasize pointless culture war BS and ignore the larger stories of environmental destruction and working class plight. Now social media can do the same thing on steroids at light speed.

Dude, "Peasant Brain" has been around for thousands of years.
When you have a society run by some of the most mentally unhealthy people to ever live, things are going to be pretty jacked up downstream of that. Can't undo thousands of years of social conditioning in a few decades (here in the west anyway, much of Asia, pre-genocide America/South America and the like did not live under such nonsensical societal structures).
This was all part of the plan, and they've been broadcasting it to our faces forever. Eliminate education, create extreme division within the other class, use racial animous to prevent White men especially from questioning their doublethink, pay off the liberals in power to maintain the status quo, and conservatives to push the window further and further in their favor. But remember that these people are slightly incompetent, and the descendants of inbreds. They're mentally unwell and not the most intelligent people. This leads us to them openly and blatantly failing to cover their own tracks. Whenever I hear a conspiracy about a "secret cabal" I cringe. There is nothing secret about any of it. It's all out there. These people thought that they were so far above us that they'd have absolutely no consequences come to bear.
They also just kept pushing the needle. This is a historical constant. The entire idea of Capitalism was to maintain that status quo power dynamic (the same dynamic that existed under the monarchs) by utilizing liberalism to prevent significant change to the body politic. However, this required the ruling class to make occasional concessions... something that, even when for their own sake, they increasingly grew unwilling to do. This also provides some insight to the kind of greed at play here. Completely pathological depravity. No rhyme or reason beyond a near clinical "need" and a sociopathic sense of being "deserving" and "above" everyone else. They kept pushing the window far further to the right than it was intended to go. They were always destined to do this. Capitalism only has one end, much as the feudal systems before it... fascism. Once you understand the motives at play and the functions of the system the outcomes become inevitable.
As for why so many people are so susceptible to the ruling classes nonsense... well, first you have to understand that they always have been. Replace the theocratic monarchies of old, and the disseminated teachings that god ordained those monarchs to rule over you, for better or for worse, with the alter of the economy, and the idea of meritocracy.
The second thing to understand is that these mentalities were developed over time, as with the peasant class. People were born and raised with conservative, "patriotic" values, often imbued with racial animous and stereotypes and linked heavily with imagery of a lifestyle they've been told they are supposed to and deserve to live. Then, Capitalism is simultaneously destroying the social and economic fabric of their communities and making life progressively more difficult as time marches on, lending false credence to the racial animous and bigoted values that were instilled in them at birth. Then they are told by their leaders, their religion, and their upbringings that those people who stand aesthetically with them and are clearly far more successful are meant to be. That god, or the power of their own free will powered their financial success. I think you can see where this is all headed. When time comes for these people to question anything, they're primed and ready for their brains to effectively just snap on the inside. Their entire worldview, ideology, thought processes, opinions of others, and the communities around them, and the nostalgic media they had consumed, are all now showing themselves for what they truly are, and for a lot of people, fight or flight when it comes to these types of situations, is automatically flight. So they double down. Fall deeper into their immaterial understanding of the world and have the perfect safety net of bigotry and hatred to maintain their delusional state. It's the easy road out, and it's what's comfortable to them.
The third thing to understand is the education aspect. By eliminating proper education on the subject matter at hand, any chance for the right questions to be asked early enough is also eliminated.
A material understanding of politics and the world is the key to waking people up... sadly that is easier said than done.
I hope this gives some insight into the minds of these people. I found this post at 6AM after a night out with the boys lol, so typing, spelling, and just in general the whole reply probably aren't done well.

And the other side is leaving voicemails complaining about the money in the political systemâŚ
Unfortunately, the money is always going to win that âfightâ hands down.
Because if the money is coming in to politics from the richest people in the world, it means that the system is corrupt.Â
And probably no one is ever even going to listen to your little voicemail complaint.

My senators are useless. One just ignores everyone, you get a standard template reply no matter what you're addressing, and the other flat out said her job was to cater to people who voted for her. Apparently that's how this works now? It's so pathetic. I've watched my state go from mediocre/bad (but almost getting better) to running head first into a brick wall and I really don't know how to turn anything around. 70% of the state is gleefully part of the cult. I'm too old, sick and broke to leave. I do what I can, I vote in every election ( inc. locals ) and support the orgs as best I can who are trying to turn things around.
I used to call and write to my senators and congresspersons in DC but when they flat out say they don't represent those who don't support them, what else is there to do?
