Is this normal damage during a bathroom renovation?

Ya very disappointed with what’s being done. It’s a company that’s entirely dedicated to bathroom refurbishments and paid them a premium for what I hoped would be minimal hassle in the context of the work

That is kinda typical finish im afraid I'm guessing that they assume that the decorator will finish it off , which tbf any ½ decent decorator would do as a matter of course.

Yeah, they should be fixing this properly and making good on any damages. This shouldn't even be a problem for them - if they've got someone in to fix the hole then this should be an easy bit of additional work to fill and repaint while they're there.

Thanks for your reply. With regard to repainting - should I expect them to repaint the whole ceiling/wall or just touch up the areas they’ve damaged? I feel a touch up job will not blend in with the rest of the wall

I guess that's up to you - if they can patch it to a standard you're happy with then it's all good. But I'd have thought a full repaint of that wall would be the better option unless they have the exact brand and type of paint used originally.
