My friend has a 92X Performance and once he swapped the extractor and springs with stuff from WC and LT, it shoots amazing and perfectly reliable. Definitely a heavy gun but I wouldn’t mind having one. Already too invested in my Shadow 2 though. FWIW I like the Beretta’s trigger better but the S2’s grip better.

I dislike the vertec grip because I have large hands but you can replace with a wraparound lok grip that basically makes if feel like the OG so its a non issue and give you flexibility to have the bigger grip or that skinny Vertec.

Bought a Surplus Beretta 84BB for $300ish, frame mounted safety didn't bother me. Hoping for the same on this one, very excited. A metal framed pistol, made in Italy, for $700 and change after rebate. Worst case if I hate it I can sell it to a buddy for cheap and only loose a couple hundy.

It's a long story, years ago the Italian trade tool commission paid for me to come out an check out their manufacturing. The cycle times were comically slow compared to American lines, but damn their guys gave a shit. Basically, I'm willing to roll the dice, worst case I loose a bit, but support some fine workmanship. Best case I got a firearm fighting to take the top spot in my favorites currently the Canik SFx RIVAL-S, great pistol GD ugly to look at.

They’re so cool, I just wish there was a better way to mount optics. The factory system is horrible and even though the cut that Langdon uses is better, you still end up with an incredibly obtrusive front sight if you want to cowitness. Of course, I say all of this to convince myself that I don’t want one when I really really do.
