We would transfer it to your dealer so they would handle all the paperwork on their end. Most receiving FFLs do charge a transfer fee to handle the paperwork, but it varies, so you would want to reach out to your FFL to see what they charge for NFA. Thanks!

The fact you have to pay a NFA transfer fee doesn’t make it a bad deal lol. Some charge $25, some $100, some $200. To expect small shops to account for NFA transfer fees is unfair. And it STILL may be cheaper or the only way you can get certain cans.

He’s making the point that the average gun shop charges $100-200 for NFA transfers so unless the discount is fairly large, you’re not actually saving any money when you could just buy a more standard offering like a Sico or Dead air that all the gun stores carry.

Resist $1000+ suppressors. The market is shifting and you’ll be able to get the same performance for $500-$700 soon enough. There will be many options releasing as time moves forward, since the $0 tax stamp.

We are literally seeing the opposite of your theory become true. Did you not pay any attention to shot show 2026? Suppressors are getting more affordable and higher quality. Lyman is releasing a line of $300 suppressors, two of which can handle very quick semi auto fire. They aren’t the nicest, but it’s an indicator of what the market is doing.

That’s not what he argued. And not what I’m arguing about.
Insisting that the TOP performers that warrant the $1000+ will suddenly drop to $500, or a $500 suppressor will come along and do “the same thing” is not going to happen. That’s like saying a polonium does the same thing as a WB. They are vastly different suppressors (even Andrew says that). Does it have VALUE to everyone? That’s entirely different.
Will cost overall drop? Maybe. But the stamp just disappearing in and of itself, multiple companies said would cost them having to RAISE BASE price because of other tax factors and what not.

Please tell me how some nobody company will come by and deliver 95% of the same performance (again, performance, not strictly sound, so flash, durability, gas regulation, ear performance vs muzzle, etc) for 50% less.
We’re not talking about simple baffled suppressors and delivering that forces brands who overpriced based on reputation to come down. If you think that someone can deliver a HUX/CAT WB/Infinity/Tisha 556 suddenly for $400 that is 95% of the performance, you are delusional.

I promise, I shoot with suppressors more often than you do, because it’s my job lmao. Every company you listed is not doing anything incredibly special. Most of the technology that makes those cans so great in the USA market is widely available outside of the USA. That technology will both progress and make its way to the USA over time, driving down the price of what you currently consider top tier.

There were a couple of thoughts of what was going to happen.
Turns out it's between 2 & 3, which is good for me as a consumer. Yes I already have expensive cans that I paid for, like a $1100 vent 1 + 200 stamp, currently like $1200.
The value of high end cans was that you already had to pay 200, so mentally justified going up in cost with the sunk cost mindset... I think it will be a good 2.5 years for cans, maybe a last minute rush in the 2029 will drive up prices.
In the meantime, I look forward to cans being slightly less for myself and others and don't care about paying more previously, as I got to use them.

My prediction is that we get an array of different price options similar to the handgun market. Someone will make the Taurus or Sccy of suppressors, someone will make the smith and Wesson or Glock level, and someone will make the boujie staccato and atlas level, along with everything in between.

Andrew at OCL is also releasing a low back pressure 556 suppressor for $750 in April. As opposed to paying $1200 for a hux.
These items have been overpriced for a while, now’s the chance to stop supporting it. It’s pure profit for them, it’s a hunk of metal. I’ve 3d printed plastic suppressors that work 75% as well as a $1000 hunk of metal.

They’re surprisingly durable. Not meant for high-pressure rifle rounds but for 300 BLK and pistols, I believe he mentioned like a few hundred rounds with no degradation.

When the silencers come into the shop we have to enter exactly as shown on the paperwork. Since CGS engraves for CAT, they are listed on the forms, and therefore that's what is shown on the website. To my knowledge other than the limited RDM models, most of these can't currently be found on Silencer Shop.
