I remember this VHS as a kid. Anyone else ever watch this or just me? https://youtu.be/YkIuKcpX5lk?feature=shared
Leather-Sky8583@reddit
We had almost all of them. I preferred Kid Songs but a few of the Wee Sing were ok.
imbluedabadeedabaidi@reddit
Same I preferred kids songs over wee sing
SmoothYogurtcloset21@reddit
I did. And I love all of them. But I wish they made new ones on DVD.

I had the one of Sally’s bday party and it will live rent free, in perfectly preserved memory, until I die. That movie WAS childhood for me.
no_clever_name_yet@reddit
I had Wee Sing CASSETTE tapes. I had Wee Sing Silly Songs and Wee Sing and Play.

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I guess I'll go eat some worms!

Came here to say this re: Silly Songs! Was never exposed to this video, however.
MotherofaPickle@reddit
Same!

We had the VHS and I remember watching it quite a few times. I would occasionally rotate between this and Puff the Magic Dragon.
GreenApples8710@reddit
I didnt, but my mid-Millenial GF did ...Absolute LSD nightmare.
I, having much more refined tastes, was an Elephant Show stalwart.
thedrunkpenguin@reddit (OP)
I'll be traumatizing my youngest this weekend with it. I shall see what this Elephant Show is as well haha
Medical_Solid@reddit
My little sister tolerated this. I refused to watch it.
LakeEffectSnow@reddit
This reminds me of Zoobilee Zoo which is it's own house of weird.
Lord-Curriculum@reddit
God... I was fine with this being forgotten. 80s had some weird shit as kids television.
phillyrat@reddit
Yes!
WeenisPeiner@reddit
Where magic and wonder are waiting for you?
anannanne@reddit
And King Cole’s Party! Grandpa’s Magical Toys! They’re all on YouTube if you don’t feel like hooking up your VCR.
Supercres933@reddit
God my sisters were obsessed with this. One even told strangers her name was Sally for a period of time
nelmski@reddit
Lloyd George knew my father, father knew Lloyd George.
bascule@reddit
I had the Wee Sing cassette tapes, but this also made me think of For Our Children, and now I’m realizing Chicken Lips and Lizard Hips was by Bruce Springsteen
Past-Confection-6730@reddit
I remember the one where the different colors hated each other. Sillyville?
isabellus_rex@reddit
This one. We had this one. In retrospect I feel bad for my parents…
Snickrrs@reddit
Definitely Wee Sing in Sillyvile
Lfs1983@reddit
All I wanted in the world was that red dress

Zealousideal-Dig9397@reddit
Wee Sing in Sillyville was my jam as a kid 😂
pushdose@reddit
Fuck I hadn’t thought of this in 38 years. wtf. More my younger siblings tho, not me.
Puzzleheaded-Bid-101@reddit
I had the birthday party in the woods one. It was my favorite video.
Hot-Significance-462@reddit
I can still recite the alphabet backwards because of this.
FinalAd2060@reddit
With great pride!
thedrunkpenguin@reddit (OP)
Absolutely same
glaciers4@reddit
Never saw the videos but listened to the cassettes and had the books!
thedrunkpenguin@reddit (OP)
I had no idea there were books!
epidemicsaints@reddit
Wee Sing Silly Songs is the one I was exposed to, with younger cousins. BURNED in my brain. I hated it but would sit fixed to the screen.
It's the one where a nut on the ground sings "I'm A Nut."
PhoneJazz@reddit
I’m a little acorn found, lying on the cold cold ground, everybody steps on me, that is why I’m cracked you see
PopsiclesForChickens@reddit
Yep. I used to take it with me to entertain kids I babysat.
thedrunkpenguin@reddit (OP)
The eerieness of the home shot videos takes the cake. So bizarre and like you said it drew you in instantly
farfanseaweevil@reddit
Go get the axe, there’s a flea on Lizzie’s ear…
Persis-@reddit
My mom ran a home daycare.
We definitely had the Wee Sing cassette tapes. I don’t really recall a show, though.
Kellzy1212@reddit
I remember seeing these at the library.
Old-Explanation9430@reddit
Thank you Mark and Clark
kzcleve@reddit
We can canoe can you canoe? My sister youngest watched this thing to death.
SteakJones@reddit
Oh CHRIST…
My grandma got this for my sis and I for Christmas and then MADE us watch it. Like we had to sit and watch that motherfucker in front of her. And then we had to be thankful. Every god damned time we went to her house… we were also probably 2-3 years older than the target audience for it.
Thanks for unlocking that repressed childhood trauma. Ima go breathe heavy into paper sack now.
thedrunkpenguin@reddit (OP)
Sorry sorry sorry
SteakJones@reddit
lol it’s cool. Im sending it to my sister now… muaahahhahahaha
RoyDonkeyKong@reddit
This was our Cocomelon.
WeenisPeiner@reddit
My cocomelon was Donald Ducks 50th birthday special with Dick Van Dyke. Recorded onto VHS, Mid 80s commercials and all, followed by Snoopy's getting married Charlie Brown, then Mickey's Christmas Carol. Everyday.
royheritage@reddit
Why would you unlock this childhood trauma for me?
thedrunkpenguin@reddit (OP)
I saw a screenshot and a flood of memories came back to me
bivo979@reddit
Never heard of it.
MotherofaPickle@reddit
We had the cassette tapes and songbooks.
