What’s the best way for me to lose weight/fat?

Hi all, I’m aware it’s probably one of the most asked questions ever, but what is the best way for me to lose weight/fat? I’m 30M, 5ft 9 and 21st. I’m incredibly inactive - I leave the house at around 06:00 and get back at around 19:00. I sit in an office chair all day, get home - sit down for 15/20 minutes then cook dinner for me and my partner and then go to bed. I couldn’t tell you the last time I exercised and I’m incredibly lazy in that aspect. I have what most would call a bad relationship with food, although I don’t see it as that. I LOVE food, like it’s one of my favourite things and cooking is a hobby - I love it for the taste/experience, not for “fuel”. I don’t eat incredibly unhealthy and cook from scratch every night, but I do snack and don’t hold back if we go out for a meal/get a takeaway. Exercise wise, I won’t go to the gym as I struggle with social anxiety despite trying previously. I’m also nursing a slipped disc and have been for nearly a year. My physio said the only way for it to properly heal is to exercise, however it’s also the biggest physical burden at the same time. Even prolonged periods (30 min) of walking is causing my agony with my back. I am totally aware that a lot of this is a mixture of laziness and physiological and that “losing weight is easy”, but I’m really struggling to find time and effort to sort myself out. I’d probably continue the way I’m going, however I have a little girl due in 6 weeks and I need to make sure I’m around as long as possible to be the best dad I can be. Sorry it’s a long thread, and thank you all.
