Trouble verifying account with Gunbroker?

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to finally sign up for a gunbroker account and sent them everything they needed. A photo of me holding my ID and a secondary ID. It’s been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything back. I sent a followup ticket last week and still nothing. Has anyone else had this experience?

I don't trust them. I did not send them any info. That is not a secure way of verifying someone. They should be using something like ID.me. that is what I would expect a professional business to do. I won't do business with them because this seems pretty shady. They froze my account because my payment was declined. Big deal different payment. No need to verify all my information again. Waist of time. Screw em.

No luck here either. I tried to set up an account a year ago and have tried three times over the ensuing months to submit a ticket and ask why my account could not be verified and was locked. The first time I preemptively sent them photos of the documents they suggested (no one ever got in in touch with me asking for this - this was just suggested in the help docs to make it easier for them) and I never heard back after two tickets. Looking to shop again and reached out a third time asking what the issue was, or what more info I could provide to resolve, and nada. I never hear back from anyone ever.

Just thought I would update that since I posted this 20 days ago, I actually heard back from Gunbroker and they sent me a verification link and I now have an active account after trying for over a year, ha ha! The email said “sorry we’ve been dealing with a high volume of requests…” For what it’s worth, before they got back to me I ended up making a purchase from guns.com through their inspected, certified used inventory and had a great experience. They also do auctions. Good to have options, though!
