Just a heads up: quite a few sites on gun deals had the 92X Performance Defensive with shipping for less than PSA’s price. A bunch of the “email to receive quote sites” in particular.

Always factor in shipping and transfer fees before calling something a deal. Some dealers also run live inventory sales now, which can be worth watching if you’re comparison shopping GunStreamer is one platform where FFLs do that. Read the fine print either way.

That’s a fair heads up. The email for quote, shops can definitely come in under PSA on higher end Berettas, especially once you factor in shipping and tax. It’s worth checking a few before pulling the trigger, particularly on the Performance Defensive models where margins vary more.

Man, I feel that, it always stings a little seeing it drop lower after you already bought in, but 899 after rebate last year was still a good grab. At 799 this is a killer deal for a steel frame 92X, even without the squared trigger guard. If anyone wants to shop around or watch for similar deals popping up live from dealers, sometimes you can catch them during livestreams on GunStreamer too.

I didn’t know PSA doesn’t ship from stores and I’m several states away. They had low stock but they only had them in stores. No more online but great possibility of a restock. I see the 92x Performance Defensive is $949. I swear they were $1049 yesterday so I may go for that one if there’s no 92X PCO restock.

same, seems like there's are some extractor problems and the recoil lug on the barrel sheers at a (relatively) low round count. it's probably gonna be the m&p hd because i won't have to buy any new accessories, but the Beretta is sexier. the aluminum classic Beretta is great but i want the weight of steel. also not a huge fan of the m&p metal's polymer grip inserts.

I’ve heard of people putting the defensive slide on the PCO frame and it just being better overall. I’ve never gotten a hand on either one of these but I’ve gotten decide fast so I’m open if you have any other inputs on these and thanks!!!

During berettas sales on their us website (multiple per year but christmas time is pretty much garunteed) you can snag a threaded, black / phosphate, chrome lined barrel for $100-150. Considering the locking block piece on the barrel is also a wear item (i dont recall the actual interval but every 15,000 rounds comes to mind) its not a bad idea to have a spare barrel hanging around anyways

No, the barrel has a really nice crown though, but it's not threaded. I did buy a silver threaded barrel for mine because it also looks sick (one day I'll get the controls np3'd or whatever the name is nowadays)

I have the non optic ready version with the LTT trigger job, and I love it. At this price, it's the same cost as buying an optic ready slide off of eBay, and not much more expensive than getting the loose cut and refinished, once you factor in shipping, time, risk of something going wrong etc.

I’ve been shopping these all weekend and this is the lowest price I found including shipping and tax. Someone told me of a rumor of Beretta dumping these to change to the LTT optic mounting system for future models. At ~$800 after rebate even if you hate it you’d probably get most of your money back if you sold it
