Those with ADHD / Need to be on their feet alot, what do you work as?

A lot of ADHD symptoms can feel a bit general when you see them written down, but the difference between a generic experience and a symptom of a disorder is the degree to which it affects you. I have ADHD, but I'm more on the inattentive side than the hyperactive side. I don't *like* sitting down all day, I *prefer* to be up and doing things, but it's not a *problem* for me. People with hyperactive ADHD feel intensely uncomfortable when they have to sit or stand around and wait. They'll pace on phone calls, they'll fidget, they'll hop up out of their chair, etc. I have a colleague and, while I'm not sure if he's ever been diagnosed with anything, I've noticed that if we have to stand around and wait for a customer to fiddle with something before we can crack on, he'll very quickly get restless and announce he's going to go and do a few things elsewhere and to call him back when we're ready. Meanwhile I'm happy to sit around "patiently", but I'm away with the fairies.
