For anyone with medium to larger hands I highly recommend getting the 15 round mag if possible in your state. It gives even more to grip onto.

In recent years I have an "absolutely not for 2 years" rule that has saved me from issues and recalls at least a few times.
So as much as I want to take the Next Gen Kimbers for a spin (based on my Pro Carry II which has been great, could Kimber be out of the woods?) or get one of the CZ artist formerly known as P-07s (P-09C Nocturne) I've just gotta wait.

If you carried it for years, and it's been reliable, then you got your money's worth. I feel I have. Besides, buying the cheaper older model years ago when the shield plus was new would've been the single stack version. I do like the 12+1 I'm getting with my 10 round magazine and magguts extension...

Very true, and it's pennies compared to holsters and ammo.
For 3-4 years I carried the Walther PPS M1, which was absolutely perfect and I trusted it a lot. But guns got smaller and my mom needed a CCW I trusted to be reliably broken in, so that got gifted.
Then for about a year I carried the Glock 43, which was fine.
Then I upgraded to the Shield first-gen, which I carried for a year or two and loved. Upgraded to the Shield second-gen, which was also about two years before the Plus, which I've now carried for 2-3 years.
I've tried most of the competitors. I have a P365XL which is solid but I generally trust Sig less than Smith. And I have a Glock 26.5 which I love and carry a lot, but it's chubby and doesn't carry as nicely. The LCP Max is my 4th perfectly reliable LCP over the years (charmed luck, as I understand it) but I rarely carry it, since I have really good conceal rigs for my 9mms these days.
I always tend to revert back to the Shield Plus. It's decently high-cap, decently comfortable, and I have great trust in it since all three of mine have been trouble free.

Carrying is weird man. Some say, “get the smallest gun you can shoot” and I completely disagree. Get the biggest gun you can conceal has always worked better. Small guns are harder to handle than larger ones because of physics. But also, more annoying to carry daily.

Can you tell us more? I only found one forum post on it, something about the angle being off, so the user couldn't get the dot zeroed.
