How do we feel about a brand new 4070 Super (Galax 1-click OC) for 460 USD vs. a 5070 (Asus Dual) for 650 USD?

As topic. This deal for the 4070 Super suddenly popped up in my local market when I was about to pull the trigger on the 5070.
I think the savings can just go to DDR5.
How do we feel about this?
Thanks for any insights.

4070S is basically the same as 5070 but without MFG and FP4 support. But to 50 series credits, you can OC 5070 higher, so you might get 15-20% more performance compared to stock 4070S.

Ey thank you for the feedback. But I was initially struggling at whether the price changes warranted the price difference. I ultimately chose the 4070 Super, and will put the difference towards DDR5 RAM.

How do you like it so far?

No regrets so far bro. I've so far been able to just use optimized settings to play 4K 60 fps. (This rig is hooked up to a TV)
Everything is just about compromise and how far you're willing to go for performance vs. things you are likely not to notice in normal gaming.
However, it goes without saying, by investing in a 40 series card you lose access to MFG, and I'm not sure if that's a deal breaker for you so please research accordingly.

Thanks a lot for the quick response!

On techpowerup the 5070 is 6% faster than the 4070super. Both have 12gb of vram so i would get the 4070super and buy ddr5.

Yup, this was the thought process but I just wanted to see if I missed anything. I guess the plan has changed!
Thank you.
