I got tired of losing track of maintenance and mods, so I started building a tool to track everything in one place.

I was always digging through my phone for random photos of odometer readings, receipts, and parts just to remember what I did to my truck.
Everything was scattered pictures, glovebox papers, and old messages. So I started building something to track maintenance history, fuel logs, modifications, and total build cost all in one place.
It’s still in development, but it’s finally at a point where it feels usable and I figured I’d share some progress.
Curious how other people keep track of their vehicle history. Through spreadsheets, apps, photos, paper logs, or just memory?

Using Carmainty now. No complaints

So it's a fleet management tool, but for shitboxes?

More or less so haha. And for people who want to keep information about their builds as well.

I don't like the idea of something tracking how much I spend on mods...

Thanks for the feedback! I could definitely add a toggle to disable that.

Spreadsheet with tabs for maintenance and receipts, Imgur for pics, and a build thread on my vehicle’s model forum to document work for the inevitable next owner. Although I’ve started moving my documentation to the carfax app as well.
Your app looks dope though and I’d totally use it.

Looks good. I'm just using Drivvo to track my vehicles. Your tool looks like it could be something I would like to use. Keep up the good work

I paid for "Acar" premium way back in the day. I never updated the app to the new version that was subscription-based.
Been doing that since about 2012 and i still have the original APK for the license and app. So their devs can suck it.
The only thing their update would've been nice to use is the ability to upload receipts/pictures. But I just have a separate picture folder for each car.
Easy. I'll be using that app until, well, hell freezes over.

Haha right on, as long as it works why change it!

I use an excel spreadsheet. One tab for maintenance/modifications, one tab for tracking fuel consumption, and one for tracking all expenses related to the vehicle. I've found that I've spent roughly $27k total on a truck I bought for $9500 that is now probably worth about $8500.

Oh yeah, I’ve absolutely been there. You only lose if you sell it!
