No! There is plenty of room to make it tight. Im your size but a little bigger, the shoulder straps will adjust ride height. Then the waist straps will make it tight.

Yeah they can be combined! You'd just remove the harness from the chest rig and strap it in and velcro the placard down. May be some slight floppinees but there's ways to manage that if it's terrible.

It seems nice, but trying to set it up, I couldn't fit my TQ inside the main medical pouch on the chest. I ended up using a carabiner to attach it to the hooks under my arms. I guess id rather have it handy than tucked away in a pocket, but with the medical gear in there I can barely fit anything else.

Im trying to remember how I had my TQ but I think I made the dangler a dedicated medical only deal for courses. I try not to carry too much crap so my load is rather lean. If I have room to carry extra I carry more crap so the Tex Training rig tends to be just enough for me to run some mags, medical, and very little else. But for shooting matches and courses you rarely need more (unless its all day, water).
I found it to be sufficient, and also good to teach people who overpack stuff to chill out. For a micro set up its good.

Kind of. What all are you talking about? The dangler is easily removable. The flex-wing pouch is optional if you want it added. It can be a pretty slim set-up with just the main placard if you want!

I think that would just turn it into a plate carrier with a placard, right? There's plenty of good slick plate carriers out there if you wanted to add a placard, but a chest rig that carries plates is just a plate carrier.

Acetac has a PC, and it’s compatible with this chest rig. I run the chest rig as a placard over it. Works great!
