It depends on what's important to you. I went with Centurion because I wanted something CHF and planned on using their E4 bolt. The indexed gas block was also a cool feature. Allegedly their chrome lining is extra thick as well.
If those things don't interest or apply to you, Criterion will serve you well, too. Hard to go wrong either way.

I’ve seen you around the gun subs for a while and you seem to have a solid knowledge of the AR platform so maybe you’ll know. I have a 12.5" midlength build with a Riflespeed adjustable gas block. Currently, it’s just using a carbine spring and carbine buffer.
If I were to move to an A5 system, wouldn’t I want to stick with a light spring/light buffer since I can directly control the gas input? Added a heavier spring/buffer than what I currently have would increase the gas needed to cycle and would result in a “jumpier” recoil impulse, correct?

One, it depends if you care about unsuppressed function or not.
Two, I generally recommend everyone benchmark against carbine/H2 or rifle/A5H2 as a starting point for builds.

I have almost 10x builds with Centurion barrels. Only issue is Ever had was they used to use taper pins that would bend punches trying to get them on lol
My favorite is with this barrel and a FSB mounted to a RRA UTE2 upper. G$ H1 buffer and braided spring. Will eject in a nice pile with 55gr PMC at -5°
Even their gas blocks (lo pro and Fixed) they use are quality and always require some force to get the tube in the hole because of how tight everything is. I also always check the gas ports before I build the upper and every barrel I have ever ordered from them has been spot on.
I don’t even consider buying from other brands anymore because they offer everything I want and I know it will be top of the line quality
