Why not both? The SAR is a striker fired pistol & the Bersa is DA/SA hammer fired. Can’t really go wrong with either one. Only issue is magazines are pricey.

I just shot mine for the first time. I only put about 50 rounds through it, both 115 and 124 grain, because this range trip was mainly for skeet. Half of those rounds were suppressed with my Octane 45 HD. It's very accurate and the trigger is very nice. I had one hiccup(FTE) with 115grain, suppressed, but it was the 2nd or 3rd round I fired and it ran flawlessly after that. I don't normally run 115 grain bullets though any new 9mm, until after a 100-200 break in period, but I had some with me, so I figured "why not?".
I bought this as a range toy, and I'm happy with it, especially given the fact that it's an all metal, hammer fired pistol with a threaded barrel and it only cost $299. I almost snagged one of these years ago for $100 more. I would have been happy with it at that price.

I shot my full sized last week. 5 mags full. 2 failures to feed but I think it was because I speed loaded everything and didnt make sure all the rounds were positioned correctly, you know when sometimes you load a mag and one of the rounds is too far forward in the mag and it kinda points down? I think thats what it was.

Yeah, this is "meh" at best. Some Bersas are great, but we also live in a world where IFA or EAA will sell you a new Tanfoglio for $199 once a year. And that gun takes CZ75 mags and is generally reliable.
I wouldn't pay $300 for a Bersa.

i cant speak to the compact but I finally got around to firing 5 mags in the full size, had two failures to feed but I think it was because I loaded the full 17 rounds without making sure the rounds werent seated(?) correctly.
Otherwise, for an aluminum framed full sized gun that feels a bit lighter than my 92X, the muzzle flip was less than the aluminum framed CZ 75 I have. Accuracy seemed fine but I also havent shot in 9 months so I'm not going to comment on it, so overall these feel like very well built successors to the Walther P88. Magazines are expensive though
