Never buy from Jasion! Horrible customer experience. (Just need to rant.)

I ordered a ebike from them over $900+ at the end of December. Decided to cancel it because it did not meet the standards of a class 3 ebike. I was worried it might not be all that legal in my state. So I emailed them letting them know to cancel it. Mind you they did not ship it or fulfill it yet. I emailed them a day later after I had purchased it. They also sent an email letting me know that the ebike I bought would not arrive in time and suggested I go with a different ebike, wait or cancel the order. I emailed them again letting them know to cancel the order.
After much back and forth someone named Cathy let me know that they would issue me a refund and to wait 10 to 15 business days. I waited and waited and still no refund. I emailed them back and they said to wait a couple of days and that they would be checking with their accounting department to speed up the process. Nothing happens again. So a week later I finally had it and emailed again. Cathy again said to wait a couple hours and that they would issue a refund. I waited 24 hours and nothing.
Finally I issued a chargeback with Discover. Uploaded my documents. Check my account on Jasion to see that the order was still unfulfilled. I have never received an ebike from them. (This was a couple of weeks ago.)
Today as I was making a payment on my Discover card I see a chargeback repost. Which meant that Jasion disputed my claim on them. F ing jackasses.
Long story short NEVER BUY FROM JASION. It's like pulling out teeth to get a refund for an item I cancelled and never received.

Hate that you had this experience with the company. Just to add a positive point for Jasion, I had the opposite experience with their customer service. When my Hunter Pro arrived, there was a dent in the front wheel. Nothing major, just a cosmetic issue. Customer service was quick to respond and shipped a new front wheel and tire within a couple of days. Still haven’t needed to replace it, but I have a spare just in case. And the bike has been phenomenal! I’ve almost hit 1k miles on it since getting it back in October of last year.

I think they respond fine when it's a missing part but they go silent when you request a refund. For example...
I received the bike and a screw was stripped, I reached out and they responded immediately when I told them the screw was stripped but then I realizing the bike doesn't meet the standards in my state, I immediately sent a new email saying I would like to return it, radio silence... so in the other screw thread, they were still back and forth getting details until I mentioned that I sent multiple requests to refund (two emails) and then silence.
They don't want you to return. I think they're running out the clock since I've sent multiple messages now in 3 threads now.

Oh man...bought a Hunter Pro for 1K..realized i need a class1 20MPH a few hours later. Emailed them to cancel..offered me $30 discount..I said no I cannot use the bike for what I need...please cancel..have not heard from them since..dangit.

They usually reply in the early mornings like midnight because I assume they are based in China. Make sure you keep on top of that and get an email saying that they are canceling your order. If a couple of weeks go by and the still haven’t done anything open a dispute with your credit card company. i actually did win my dispute over Jasion.
Hupperdoo@reddit
I got an email today(and from my facebook message)..they said the return is in process refund to be 10-15 days they will LMK..they said the staff was off or something. So time will tell. Better than nothing. There is a 5% restocking fee which i new...restock something that never shipped :>)
Big_Information2733@reddit (OP)
Lol. Restocking fee is bs. If it has not been shipped they cannot charge you a restocking fee. It is illegal. Tell them if they charge than you will report them to the proper authorities. Also take a screenshot of your order with the status just for evidence.
Hupperdoo@reddit
I ordered some part from ebay for my older suv(rear wiper or something)..then I changed my mind..the guy charged me 15% restocking fee..i was pizzed but jeez..not work the hassle to fight it to me...they always say "it was in the fine print..so you agreed up front.."
Hupperdoo@reddit
I am thinking there is a shift in the market due to the new CA laws about ebikes and the ones that are more than 750W...they realize they will be losing a big market for sales...so i think they are stalling as much as possible any way they can on a sale. So you are saying you never even got the bike and they kept the money? jeez.
Big_Information2733@reddit (OP)
Yes. I told them to cancel. They agreed they would, but the refund kept stalling. Finally I had enough with their lies and just went through my credit card company. I issued a chargeback, they in turn issued a repost. I submitted evidence that they never sent the product, agreed to the cancellation and had the messages and order status to prove it. I won.
Hupperdoo@reddit
No they disappeared after I said I don't want it for $30 less, they I could not use it...kinda shocking based on their website...tons of "5 star" reviews supposedly and a 14 day "return it if you don't like it" ...I mean..if you can't return it after a few hours, I wonder how it would be after 14 days. :>)
Virtual-Vegetable601@reddit
What is a "class 1"?
Hupperdoo@reddit
Ah...the law states battery up to 750 Watts..also things like 20MPH max speed..no throttle just pedal assisted.things like that...when they start getting up to around 30MPH and ever more..they are class 2 or 3. On the internet..lots of people live out more in the countryside..lots of room to do things...In LA...if you want to ride along the beach boardwalk..or LA river for example...hiking/bike paths...you need a safer(for others) bike.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I suggest buying bikes and ebikes from a local bike shop.

I was thinking about buying from a US based company but most charge higher for the specs I wanted. My first ebike was a Lectric XP lite and at most it would go 20mph. It got stolen 2 years later. It cost around $1k with tax. For that much I could get a faster ebike but risk quality customer support by going through, what is obviously, a Chinese company. Besides brand like Lectric, Averton, and Ride1Up usually get their parts/stock made in China so I thought I was safe enough.
Plus, I didn't want to go with a famous branded ebike at the risk of it being stolen again and me being out $1k to $2k. I don't have a place to park my ebike inside. It would involve me going up 1 flight of stairs. So I have to chain it up outside.
In the end I did get a new ebike from ActBest which is most likely a drop shipping company like the other comments suggest but the bike goes 28 mph with peddle assist, has a 330lb load and only cost $519. I've been riding it for 2 months now and have no problems with it other one of the tires arriving flat. Checked the tire and the valves wasn't tight enough. I fixed it myself and added slime.

Grew up hearing my father say things like “quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten”. Lucky enough to have enjoyed Honda products dating back to 1976. And I try not to go cheap on much. Not willing to take the risk with inexpensive batteries and chargers.

While I can understand canceling the order what exactly is the issue? Does fitting into one of the Class 1, 2, 3 definitions really matter. Most ebikes can be adjusted to fit into one of these classifications through settings. If you wanted class 3 it's as simple as disabling the throttle using and limiting the assist to 28 mph (45kph). The legality of an ebike isn't based on it's potential but on the settings set by the owner.
FigNinja@reddit
In my state, if the settings allow you to exceed the speeds and power of Class 1-3, then it's no longer legal as an ebike. Though my state also requires safety certified batteries. I don't know about this company, but I'm guessing they don't offer that for $900.
sckuzzle@reddit
Yes. Whether something is legal to drive on the road matters.
Neither of the ebikes I have owned had any such option.
No it isn't. It's based on design and capability, not settings.
Here's the definition of class II: "Class 2 electric bicycle means an electric bicycle equipped with a motor that may be used exclusively to propel the bicycle, and that is not capable of providing assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour."
You'll notice words like "may be used" and "not capable of providing assistance". Nowhere in the definition does "can be limited to" or similar phrase appear.

i would contact your state attorney general and file a formal complaint against jasion.
boshbosh92@reddit
jasion doesn't care. they are based in China where US jurisdiction does not apply.
Such_Can_5353@reddit
sales ban would be a good start. once every state implements it, they'll lose their biggest customer worldwide.
FigNinja@reddit
Like any drop shipper, they just reform under a different name.
tomcatx2@reddit
Contact the better business bureau too! And yelp!
Nobody at jaison cares
PaleontologistSad708@reddit
Bro that is so lame. Thank you for telling everyone!
MaxTrixLe@reddit
They don’t have an accounting department. It’s a joined drop shipper with HeyBike. Their customer service is a 3rd party that is only capable of telling you basic information because they work for like 100 “dropshipper brands” companies all at once
PaleontologistSad708@reddit
Also I believe it's policy for many of these companies to keep telling you to wait, so that your options and time run out.
Dzjeek@reddit
Lynxiva is starting a new drop ship program for top brand ebikes.
I know the website is still under construction but rumor has it they'll be based out of Eden Prairie, MN.
Dawg_in_NWA@reddit
This is why you don't buy from bullshit bike brands.
IcyKey7@reddit
That is absolutely scummy behavior. Disputing a chargeback for an item they never even shipped? That's next-level fraud. This budget dropship brands often use customers' money as interest-free loans. I hope Discover crushes them.
