Wife got 2nd degree burns from an Amazon product and I am seeking legal advice for this! Any great recommendations on a good lawyer who doesn’t require anything upfront?

hope your wife heals up soon. Most personal injury lawyers work on contingency so you shouldn’t have to pay anything upfront, especially for a product case like this. I’d look for someone who has actually handled burn or defective product cases before, not just car accidents. Smaller firms can sometimes give more attention too. You could also check with BillKennedyLaw.com, I’ve heard they’re pretty straightforward and help you understand your options early on.

You might want to check out Anderson Injury Lawyers. I have seen them mentioned by others, and they seem to handle personal injury cases with a good level of care. Could be worth reaching out to see if they are a fit.

Whatever you do stay away to Katie Lewis and Aubrey Connatser. The attorney's there are usually unengaged once you pay them. There are a lot of hidden fees as well and they charge very high. They are unprepared and both of them always missed important details.

That's awful about your wife's burns - product liability cases can be really complex since you're often going up against big companies with deep pockets. When I was researching PI firms in the Dallas area that handle defective product cases, The Law Giant Texas came up as one that takes on these tougher cases against major corporations. Most injury attorneys do work on contingency like others mentioned, so you shouldn't need anything upfront. Hope your wife heals up well and you can get this sorted out.

I used Kevin Adley after an accident last year. A friend had used them before. They’re based out of Houston and a smaller firm, but everything was handled over the phone. The person I talked to explained everything when I called. Not one of the big TV/billboard advertisers which I liked. Everyone was friendly and low pressure. No complaints at all. https://adleylawfirm.com

Second Adley Law Firm. They were great after my wife’s car accident. Lawyers and staff took great care of our family.

Most personal injury firms work on a contingency basis, meaning they only get paid if you win, which is a great partial fix for when you cannot afford high costs upfront. I have seen firms like Kenneth Nugent handle product liability cases effectively because they have the experience to take on large corporations like Amazon.

Frenkel & Frenkel. They handled it all, communicated the whole time, and I got $. Highly recommended.

You should look for a personal injury lawyer who works on contingency. Many don’t require payment upfront if you have a solid case.

Basically all injury attorneys work on contingency fees. They cost nothing up front but will take a portion of the damages awarded to you. Typically about 30%. With that said, many firms will only take your case if they see it as a "slam-dunk" because they want to guarantee their payday. The big name billboard firms are the worst offenders and may reject you, but I encourage you to keep calling around and taking advantage of the free consultations that they typically offer.
For my accident, I was turned away by a couple firms after the initial consult but eventually Robert Greening took my case and I was happy with the result. https://greeninglaw.com/our-firm/robert-greening/
Moral of the story: don't be discouraged if you get rejected. Best of luck to your wife's recovery.
