People outside the south east, has it seemed rainier to you?

Came here to share this. Some places have had double their expected rainfall and parts of Scotland are down at 50% of expected - that being said - it probably won't have felt dry up there because it's an exceptionally wet part of the country! And can confirm, I live in the South West and after a spectacularly dry and sunny 2025, it has been wet since about Oct/Nov. I missed the chance to mow my lawn at the end of autumn and the grass hasn't been dry/not frozen since. The fields around us are sodden and there is standing water every time it rains. The rivers are up and it turns out my shed isn't properly waterproof. I just wish I had space to put in a much bigger water butt. For anyone familiar with long distance hiking in the UK, this would've been a surprisingly good January to have attempted the Cape Wrath Trail (still rather grim compared to the summer though, I imagine).
