A lot of these pictures are old and outdated. Some of these aren’t even army or special forces and are instead marine infantry. My knowledge on the Mexican military is limited, but practically everyone in the Mexican army uses the same rifle, which is the domestically produced FX-05 Xiuhcoatl. It was created around 2005 and 2006 by the Mexican military to replace the H&K G3. Almost every squad you see out on patrol has at least one machine gunner, which usually uses a FN minimi. Special forces usually don’t use the FX-05 and instead rely on the Colt M4.

Whats with the lack of uniformity? When a fudd in the US gets tired with their weird gun project, it sent South and gets sold to the Mexican Military?

Each president has its own security policy and infatuation. So each 6 years, they buy from a new country. Like a sick Man buying a different cough syrup each cold. Felipe Calderón (2006-2012) was infatuated with the US: so he brough a bunch of M4s, and AR-15/AR-10 style rifles. Also a bunch of humvees and UH-60Ms Enrique Peña (2012-2018) was infatuated with Europe. So brought SCARs, CZ 805s, and also bought some H225M and H145M Andrés López (2018-2024) was a f*cking id*ot and didnt do anything good Claudia Sheimbaun (2024-2030 is jewish and shes doing deals with Israel for some Galils Ace, some Arad ARs and maybe even some pistols (but im not sure about the pistols).

Slide 2: They use a lot of trashcan accessories. The general lack of consistency, IMHO, is often a sign of poor management and inter-departmental competition. When I was in the Persian Gulf local armies often wore different uniforms, body armor and carried different rifles. Their professionalism was, shall we say, lacking. I one time went by three checkpoints where the local sentries at each checkpoint were carrying three different kinds of rifles, with three different types of ammunition. I’m not impugning the individual soldiers bravery or fighting ability, but I would have some questions about their leadership.

The post is missmatching a lot of images. 2/3 are army 1/3 marines. However, he also mixes different years as both army and Navy had stopped using those uniforms long ago. Yet, I agree with you about the guns. Army, police, marines, national guard. Each has a lot of firearms from a lot of different countries, the only good thing is using the same 5.56x45, 7.62x51 and 12.7x99 ammo. However... Id imagine It be wasteful and expensive to dispose of all the M4s, Galils, CZs, and what not, for brand new FX-05s The problems of not having a consolidated arms industry....

The A2 carry handle carbines are probably just XM4s or early M4s.

The Colt 6724 was the first AR I owned. Then I saw the light and sold it and got a more suitable AR.

Traveling through Mexico, you see a variety of weapons used by police and law enforcement. Seeems like it changes state to state. Tavors seem really popular, especially among females.
