Windows 11 Smart Screen blocking apps?

Recently I reinstalled Windows 11 and ever since I’ve been getting the Smart Screen Blocker when trying to download apps like Duckstation. Is there a way around the Smart Screen or do I have to turn it off. Would you recommend leaving it on or off? I’ve never had this issue prior.

Its just a simple warning that Microsoft doesn't approve. You can either turn it off completely, or just expand the warning so you can click in "Run Anyway"

It can't, really annoying. I need to turn it off

This is exact. Some programs simply won't run with it enabled, no "run anyway" to be seen. However be careful, once disabled you can only re-enable it with registry tweaks.

Given the "security" it offers, I'd rather it be permanently disabled. To give you an idea, even the official Minecraft launcher blocks that thing.

Just turn it off
