Theres a few like Acer which arent trust worthy when it comes to monitors so even brand isnt everything...
What companies tend to be the most reliable when it comes to monitors?

What's wrong with Acer monitors?

All I heard is people buying them and then they fail

I got my 34" Acer monitor in march 2018, is still functions perfectly.

Its all luck anyways, I had a 1080 24" start to fail after a month and a half. Shipping it back for rma was more expensive then just buying a new monitor out right.

None all manufacturers can have issues.
Your being super nitpicky, pick a monitor with a feature set you accept the price of and buy it. It's that simple

I’ve never had issues with my acer or hp monitors

i have 40000+ hours on my old msi 144hz and 20000 minimum on my asus xg27aqm
if thats not reliability to you I don't know what is lol

There are only a very small number of companies making the actual display panels inside monitors, and then a much higher number of companies buying those panels and essentially putting them in a box with their logo on it.

I'm using three LG monitors right now and all good so far

I use an acer monitor thats 12 yrs old and it still works, 1080p 60hz, looks better than some newer monitors I've used

I just retired an old Acer V223 monitor that never died after 15 years. I also had an Acer Predator gaming monitor for 9 years. The only reason I replaced it is because I wanted a bigger monitor and to upgrade to 4K. It is still hooked up to my backup PC.
Samsung is also reliable. I had a 46" 1080P tv for over 10 years. I gave it to a friend when I bought my current 77" OLED S90C. I just bought a Samsung Odyssey G8 32" monitor.
These are the 2 brands I would recommend. Just buy one that fits into your budget and has the specs you want. Don't worry about reliability too much. Read the reviews. There are always going to be unlucky people that get a dud once in a while.

In my opinion nowadays the “brand” doesn’t mean much. They all built from same components on similar (or same) products lines. The quality control the only thing that actually might be different. I have problems with Samsung and Acer monitors, Dell is a complete shit - 2 monitors gone bad in a year. HP work 2 years before start white bleeding. Never have issues with LG and Asus, but it is just my personal experience. My friends have SANSUI monitors and very happy. Opinion - brand doesn’t mean anything anymore, buy what specification you need for a reasonable price.

MSI has very good warranties in their OLEDs, and have helped push the industry standard to 3 year burn in warranty.
A lot of brands use the same panel, it’s just down to features like cooling technology on OLEDs, as well as other protective measures.

I'm using two Viewsonic monitors right now and they've been working fine. I've been using Viewsonic monitors ever since when I was a little kid.

Anecdotally, I have never had a monitor die. I currently have ones from Acer, Dell, and HP all still working. I even have an OG 1080p Hannspree that must be at least 20 years old. You could always be unlucky, but I think if you avoid the cheapest bottom of the barrel stuff and use and care for them normally you'll probably be fine.

Gaming monitors? Dell, ASUS, LG. MSI and Samsung are also solid.
