Medical certificate electronic upload after DOT physical

Might be different with every state, but is there supposed to be some kind of delay between the medical examiner submitting your certificate, and when your med card is actually updated with your state? It's been over a week now and I'm not seeing anything new on my state DMV's website.

I am going through the same thing. I took the physical on 2.13.26, and it's still not in Trenton. My licence is about to expire and I am so upset. I called the Dr.'s office last week and they said it has been processed on their end but the system is (sic) having issues or glitches because it's new.
MVC told me today, (3rd time there for this aggrivating last step to renew my CDL) to contact the Dr.'s office again and to ask them to reprocess the med cert, and to try to obtain paperwork that shows that the cert was indeed sent over to Trenton. This is absolutely ridiculous and I could be out of a job it this processing delay persists. I am so sorry and mad for you.

Update on this?

I got a physical letter in the mail saying that they received it but the FMCSA or Clearinghouse, whatever my safety guy uses, wasn't updated so I had to call the DMV CDL line for my state to get it updated manually. So sounds like you're in the same boat.

The medical examiner has until midnight the day after the exam to upload the results. They upload to the national registry, the national registry send the info to the licensing state, the state updates their system and the CDLIS. Kinda like playing telephone, one wrong data point and the med cert is lost forever.

It should not take a week. I'd call the fmcsa help desk.

I reside in Michigan and just went through the process. Your DMV should receive the certification within two days
