Italy - Dolomites

Hello! My wife, our 18 month old son, and I are going to be visiting the Dolomites for a couple nights in late May. We’re looking to start in Bolzano and then we really don’t have much else planned. Going to be up there for 3 nights 5/23-5/26 and will be renting a car. Any suggestions on where to stay, family fun activities (we’re pretty active), or places to eat!?!? Also, should we be concerned about road closures or anything? Anything else we should know? So excited! FYI: Leaning towards 1 night in Bolzano, then head to Corvara (or close by) for 2 nights. Is Lake Braise for it? Also looking for an epic Gondola ride to a mountain top dinner if possible.
