Do you feel the constant bad news is affecting you?

I don't find myself to be a depressed person. I genuinely try to *“*suck the marrow out of life*”* (one of my favourite quotes). I know there’s a media bias toward negative stories as they grab attention. But it’s not just the main news outlets anymore, it’s everywhere. Social media, headlines, push notifications. The sheer weight of negative news and general media feels inescapable. UK, US, and around the globe. Everything seems only framed through crisis, outrage, or collapse. I’m curious whether others are feeling the same subtle drag on their mood or mental wellbeing? How are people coping with it? The last time I took a break watching any news was back during Covid lockdown when I saw BBC news having a constant ticker on the bottom of the screen with the daily covid deaths.
