Did you used to take the coins out the fountains?

I have done. I must have made between £60 to £70 doing that in London. I would roll my sleeve up and GRAB the 20ps , 50ps, £1 coins and even £2 coins etc that were right near the edge . It was crazy how people threw them in there. I called Trafalgar square fountains "pocket money fountains" ha

How dare you. I was my mums golden boy. ha ha . NO that is not entirely true . Our friend said she thought i could do no wrong in my mum's eyes but that was not true actually. i did used to get told off for things.

I scooped some coins as a little kid and showed my dad all proud of what I had found and he grabbed my ear and frog marched me back and told me to put them back in as taking coins would bring bad luck on the family as the money goes to charity. Never touched them again lol You'd have to be extremely desperate to swipe coins from fountains.
