Green spaces - which ones do you actually use?

Hi everyone!
One thing Milton Keynes definitely has is green space. Parks, lakes, random paths everywhere. But I feel like most people stick to the same couple spots.
Which green spaces do you actually go back to regularly? And are there any quieter ones you think more people should know about?

I used to love walking the dog behind in the fields behind my house in GF, sprawling views and endless countryside. Now it's a housing estate. At least they built the roads for this side of the estate first this time. Be it straight through a lovely wildlife area and a local little path to the countryside. But hey now we get to look at an unused road for years Instead.

Campbell Park, furzton and the tree cathedral <3

I put together a list of my favourite MK walks :) https://www.victorias-vintage.co.uk/2021/11/the-best-walks-in-milton-keynes.html

Bury field, Newport Pagnell. You can basically walk into the countryside.

I visit as many as I can to forage for non-hallucinogenic mushrooms. I try not to take our beautiful spaces for granted!

I often do my local walk from the back of emerson and furzton right up to the lake. I sometimes make a detour before heading back. The lake pub for a sit down and refreshment 😂🍺

I regularly cycle from the canal at Great Linford, up through the old railway line, across the River Great Ouse area north of New Bradwell/Wolverton to Ouse Valley Park and up to Stony Stratford nature reserve. Go through Stony to Watling Way, then back via Danstead Way, Lodge Lake and Loughton valley park. Using a hybrid bike, it can deal with the rough terrain as well as the concreted areas.
Other than that, walks down the canal to Willen lake, around and back again.

Linford Wood mostly, as I live near there. It has a parkrun/walk if that's your thing. Teardrop Lakes is lovely, particularly during the summer. I also like going along the canal from Bolbeck Park up to Willen and Campbell Park.

I love taking my kids to Woburn deer park for a walk in summer

I've driven through it and seen walkers. Where do you park to go walking?
Wooden_Reflection_80@reddit
There’s free parking opposite St Mary’s Church.

Ah thank you! I'd seen that carpark but didn't know it was free which is a nice bonus

This 25 mile walk might be of interest. Someone posted it a couple of days ago:

All of them but take a daily walk through Ouzel Valley

That's my nearest stretch of greenery, it's most pleasing to wander around.

I think people often stick to the ones closest to them. Howe Park Wood and Linear Park for us!

Most often Bancroft and loughron valley park.
Also the stone pit, Stanton low, linford wood, and lesser so Campbell park (although used to hang out there a lot in my teens).

I like Caldecotte Lake... Less commercial than Willen

My Miss and I really love that lake! I can feel there are different scenery at different locations of the lake.

Bancroft and ouse valley.

I love Campbell Park, particularly when it's summer and there's cricket on, or various music/festivals. You can walk from there to Willen Lake which is also lovely.

I got to the Toot a lot in SCE and Willen Lake. One place I avoid like the plague though is Tear Drop Lakes. Anytime I have been there I’ve been eaten alive by mosquitos.

When I lived in Bletchley I used to love the woods by Westcroft.
