What's happened to Sean Lock's voice?

I've been noticing it also, reason I searched and found this. He's even losing weight I think maybe he is ill, like cancer or something else serious.

He's been like this on and off for years, not sure why everyone has just started commenting now. Season 16 episode 9 for example he is quite bad, and that was 2013. Most likely because he smokes a lot.

Season 16 of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown was 2018, not 2013. As we all know now, he had lung cancer and it killed him.

I was talking about 8 Out of 10 Cats, not the Countdown show. Season 16 of that was 2013. And yeah, pretty obvious now in hindsight what the issue was :p
