Do you keep track of your wages like checking if you get paid correctly?

I'm salaried, so I don't have to worry about it. However, anyone being paid hourly should check. Not necessarily for nefarious reasons, but mistakes happen. In my old job, we had something called annualised hours. My staff were paid 37.5hrs per week, regardless of how many hours they did and then anything over was topped up and anything less was deducted from a 'reserve'. We calculated this to the minute. I had one guy who was so meticulous, that he was within 50p every month from his calculations. If there was ever a discrepancy, we'd be able to go through the month's hours and easily find where this was and resolve it in time for payday. On the other side of the spectrum, I had people claim their hours were wrong but couldn't tell me when or why. They may have been right, but couldn't prove it.
