I mean that's how first dates usually work. People solely go for other's appearance and height and maybe vibes. Sometimes personality but it's usually looks. Personality and stuff like that usually matters in the long term though. I'm a chud but 183cm, which is tall in my country's standards so I get to date a lot but the relationship doesn't usually last more than 3 months because I have a shit personality and is emotionally distant.

Pretty much, yeah. Looks and confidence are the baseline for your attractiveness, and it's what gets you in the door unless you start dating someone who's already a friend. Personality traits and mutual interests can make your attractiveness vary above or below that, but not by very much for most people. I've seen people put up with horrible people who they have nothing in common with just because "they're so hot". It's something I've wrestled with in the past. There have been girls i really liked, but we weren't really compatible. They also weren't interested in me, so it made tye decision not to pursue them even easier.
