Damn printer

Man i feel so dumb, just spent 3 hours and another coworker spent a while on setting up a printer for a new client that stopped working. No error messages on logs, as far as the computer and printer know, it printed but nothing comes out. No error messages. It does make noise but nothing. Scanning and copying work normal. Tried all the usual, new drivers, even firmware. The printer would act like it would want to print but nothing came out, set up a new computer and tried the same thing, even setting up via its IP and no dice. Tried our work laptop and same thing. Called Lexmark and they were helpful but after an hour they had to escalate it. Currently still waiting for them to call back. Then an old timer walks in and asks what the problem is, we tell him the printer may be bad and waiting on Lexmark escalation then he says he’s able to print. I ask if he doesnt mind trying it and sure enough it fucken printed. Asked him if could take a look at the computer and the fucken thing has a setting for secure printing. We check the box within the driver , add the code and thats it. Im familiar with secure printing but usually, they log it, they beep or gives and error. This one did nothing and they didnt know anything about a code since it was prebuilt in by their previous IT. Hopefully this helps the next guy.
