Do you feel belong ? Or never belong anywhere

Asking because is the job really our main focus / goal to move away to a new place ( considering you are single and have liberty to move)
I just dont feel at home anywhere, even the place i was born and raised in - i dont feel welcomed when im back or at home. Im always at someone’s home when im visit
I dont like the us because everyone is isolating and i been trying for years… seeing people moving to asia with less than what i have keep making me question my life decision.
I plan on moving back to a new city- but fear of loneliness- will it all be the same? The hustle of moving? Or is it me?
Does the country i chose to stay matter? Do i really need a job to feel busy and belong there?

I’ve moved around quite a bit (different countries growing up), so I don’t think I’ve ever really had a strong sense of belonging to one place.
London feels somewhere in between for me, which I don’t mind as much as I used to. I feel like friends and family end up feeling more like home than any specific place.

Where are you in the US? In my experience the US was the most welcoming place of all, people invited me to go out, hang out and celebrate holidays together. Try to get into clubs about your hobbies or find some hobbies you may like with clubs.
I am only half Italian and I never felt I really belong in Italy (where I grew up) or the US, having friends is still nice though and it can make things drastically better. Are your parents immigrants as well? There is a subreddit for people that feel like this but I do not remember its name.

I’ve lived in the US, Canada, Japan, UK and Germany and yes I feel like I belong.
Home is where you make it. Making friends helps, working too and a partner. I don’t think the country matters, your mindset is the most important. If you can’t make friends in one country, it’ll likely be the same in the next.
