The night before Halloween we went out with dried corn, toilet paper or rotten eggs.

One year, my friend group went full asshole and we bought like six dozen eggs and broke them up in a bucket and we used a squeegee to put a film of egg guts and shells on the windshield of parked cars.

It was mischief night for me. By the time I was 14 I was hiding by my house and protecting it, and hiding in the empty lot throwing eggs at groups of kids that were out doing mischief. I did have a pretty good arm.

We called it Mischief Night. My older sister got to go out a few times with *very* strict limitations, but it stopped being a thing before I hit that age. (b. 1966)
