ambush on Greenville police officer. Looks like some super incendiary rounds.

The fact the attacker used incendiary rounds probably saved the cops life. They dont penetrate very far when the projectile dumps all its energy on impact

I didn’t think dragons breath had projectiles that could penetrate like they after photos showed. And I’ve shot the stuff before (not at something solid). But it’s a great way to light up and old Xmas tree. Wouldn’t be the first time I’m under the wrong assumption lol.

Could be wads. Not like those doors are all that thick nor armored. That’s very close for a shotgun and the shot would still have a tight pattern.

The only reason I think dragons breathe could have penetrated the outer skin, is the close range. All of the pyro material would still be bunched together with the wad. It also explains the large hole and the amount of burning.

Good point! Only reason id say it isnt, is that they got the rounds off fast. And dragons breathe doesn't cycle a semi auto. But it very well could be. Especially with how much it burned the car door. Ammo choice still saved that cops life.

I just couldn’t imagine any other caliber that would be capable of holding that much material. I’d think anything besides dragons breath with obliterate that door and all contents behind it. It’s not like those doors are armored. That’s a fuck ton of sparks to fit into any rifle round that you could feasibly shoot from the shoulder. Even 50bmg incendiary comes nowhere close to those levels.

It didn't really obliterate anything behind it. It just punched through the outer skin. Which keeps getting thinner with every new car model. Dragons breathe usually has close to zero penetration. But the extreme close range of this attack would probably let it punch through thin car door skins.

Thats why im thinking dragons breath. But in reality how many people have tested it on car doors from looks like maybe 8’. Bet it’s still close enough for the wad to just punch right through the skin of the door. Based on the size of those holes if it was anything with an actual projectile would have turned anything behind it into pieces. The fact he survived really makes me think dragons breathe.
