It's the class that bike is in. The rules have changed, it's physically impossible to ever beat his record. I'd google fu and link it but I'm short on time, I'll edit it in later if nobody else posts it.

Probably not. Aircraft became a reality in 1903. I imagine for ground records though it's quite possible.
