Would I be being unreasonable if I asked an organization to help towards therapy costs?

I've been seeing a private psychologist and have had 8 sessions so far. I'm unemployed and in receipt of Universal Credit. The sessions are £80 each not including travel, and I'm going to struggle to afford it going forward.
I've asked if my GP would refer for psychotherapy on the NHS but I don't know how that will go.
Recently I wondered if the air cadets would be willing to assist. The abuse started before I joined but was encouraged to join when I was the right age by the same individual where it continued. Things became transactional where he'd get me on day trips, adventure training etc in exchange for doing stuff. I didn't like this but sort of went along with it all. I hated confrontation and was useless at standing up for myself.
Would it be inappropriate to approach them to ask if they'd be willing to help? Am I being unreasonable? Am I being stupid? I wouldn't be asking for money up front, I'd pay then send a receipt and I wouldn't expect them to fund all of it but even 12-15 sessions would help.
I like the psychologist I'm seeing and want to continue although I have found it embarrassing and difficult.
If I'm way off base here let me know.
