What’s a cheap quality-of-life improvement you made in your house?

My QoL improvement that I'm well impressed with over the years, in random order - Kettle own scale adjusted to the cups we have (label printer used) - Sponge holder bracket in the sink - Same bracket installed -90deg used as a chopping board holder in the sink - Door thermal curtain - Trickle vent for windows (retrofit). A real game changer in humidity control and air quality - Loft mounted in-line bathroom extractor. 150mm beast, Both combined lead to 55% static humidity. House is up north! - Low power lights (mainly E27 dimmable smart bulbs) that turn on with sunset and go off at night automatically - Side gate proper key operated lock from both sided. No more `Fuck, it's locked from the other side` - Plants, a lot of plants, especially those to be proven efficient in air cleaning. - Matching key door locks for front, side, garage door - Outdoor door mat (yes) made out of premium artificial grass - Large wall mounted kitchen roll holder that can take Tork industrial white rolls, which are about 5x better than supermarket crap and last about 5x longer - LED lights (plain white) behind the TV. Massively improves contrast and visual experience. Especially if wall behind is other than white. - Desk cup warmer - outdoor hot and cold taps - Outdoor wall socket. Makes using pressure washer a pleasure when taps nearby. Expensive ones: - Phone that allows assigning torch to a physical button. Surprisingly, not all of them allow this - Smart heating thermostat with radiator smart thermostat and separate temperature sensors for every room. (don't bother with radiator thermostats without external sensor) - Large ultrawide monitor instead of few small ones

Printed my own label with cups scale for the kettle. No more guessing how much water do I need for two cups. Always either not enough or need to wait forever. Now I takes seconds to boil perfect amount for the cups we have
