Grunge before Nirvana. Boston had a great scene in the late 80s and early 90s.

More "college rock" or "indie rock" of its day. Grunge had a sludgy guitar sound and definitely was *influenced* by the Pixies, but it wasn't really of that particular subgenre.

Joey's guitar is pretty fucking "sludgy" in this song. I stand by my original claim.

The Pixies were basically Kurt Cobain's favorite band

Pixies was my first concert, they opened for Love and Rockets. Last time I saw the Breeders they did this song during the encore, it was amazing.

They played Here Comes Your Man in the Stranger Things finale, which aired last night. My daughter was like "oh it's the Pixies!". I was so happy, they were such a great band. Innovative and influential on multiple levels. I saw them once, I barely remember it but I remember that it was an amazing show.
