Wotsits. Just the right level of saltiness and cheesiness, and a wonderful melt in the mouth texture. Cheetos are too hard/kinda waxy and the cheese flavour just seems more....artificial.

Cheetos are better. Also the uk hot wotsits are embarrassing. Meanwhile the USA hot Cheetos is one of the best snacks to exist. I lived in both places. In uk I don’t even have much interest in eating g their snacks cause it’s actually depressing.

Agree, but i do like both. Any other freaks out there that like them stale though? Love a chewy wotsit or cheeto the day after the bag has been opened. I jave even gone as far as opening a bag and leaving them for the next day.

Yes, I do enjoy having them stale, but not deliberately. If I wake up and have left a pack unfinished that's been open I will eat and enjoy them. But rather have them fresh Wotsits!

Im british and i think cheetos are better, they just taste more cheesy. Our cheetos are probably different to the US cheetos though due to regulations.

Hate to break it to you but red 40 is used in the UK with the name E129 Allura Red. Not sure if it's in Wotsits but "Red 40" is America-specific in name only.

See the tale of how Lays (Walkers) wanted to aggressively dominate the UK crisp market by overwhelming Smiths and Golden Wonder in the 90s. Yet they ploughed millions into usurping Wotsits with huge campaigns and promotions for Cheetos, and we, the British public, basically stuck two fingers up at them and went "no". It got nowhere. So in the end they paid for the brand multiple times what it was worth, just so they could have a slice of the pie.

Could be wrong here but Wosits and Cheetos are both more or less the same when they’re manufactured for the UK market. Both sold by brands are owned/sold by PepsiCo.
