Office 365 - User filled up mailbox with large signature - Suggestions?

Hey everyone, So looks like a user had a really large file size image in their signature combined with a large amount of emailing they do, quickly hit the 50GB - I'm having them rectify the signature issue with a smaller file size image and we have an in-place archive enabled now but this will also make the in place archive filled up very quickly from the years worth of these signatures. This is a long shot but figure I would ask just in case, is there any way to strip the images in the signature out of the emails without losing the emails themselves? What would you guys suggest in this situation? ​ ​
