Have a Huffy E-Bike, like Transic, Everett and want to use a throttle? I got you...

Hello everyone! This post is to help those of us who bought a cheap Huffy bike to get introduced to E-bikes, and hate the way the pedal assist works because you would prefer to only get the assist when you want it. I was able to take the bike apart and find a cheap throttle on Amazon that works perfectly. I have a Lectric bike and absolutely love and prefer to ride it, but it is nice to be able to play around on this bike and I love to mod things when possible so I hope this helps someone as there is no information out there that I could find about doing this.
Throttle I used on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09P61CXQB
Here is a list of bikes that from what I can tell have intelligent controller: AMYD3613-002, and this should work on.
- Transic
- Everett
- Vertis
- Cadence
- Vienna
Have fun and Merry Christmas!

hi, do you have a wiring diagram for that controller? I have one on my transic and the hub motor is not turning, i'm trying to troubleshoot

Hi, I don't, but I can tell you there is a white connector on the controller. It has 3 wires, black, red, and green. If you connect the black wire to the black wire, red wire to the red wire, and the green wire to the green wire it should work. The black connector that came with the throttle did not have the pins installed so once I did it that way I was good to go. I can share a picture if that helps. I had wondered about that, if some of these "no throttle" ebikes had a slot for one. A little soldering and you're off to the races!

You are spot on for these bikes at least. The cool part about the Amazon part I listed above is the connector mates with the connector from the controller: https://imgur.com/a/JJrTT6L , it was super easy.
