Would you expect free booze at a funeral after-party?

I know after-party isn't the right word, but I can't think what to call it. The buffet and catching up with people after the service bit. (ETA: not a wake. A wake is the bit between the death and the funeral where the body's in the house and people come by. We're not doing that.)

We're currently arranging my dad's funeral and there's a hotel very close to a motorway exit and ten minutes from the crem, so really handy for the after-party. They'll let us have the room free if we spend at least £10 per head on food, and we're expecting around 70-80 people. So, we're up to nearly a grand on food and teas/coffees, plus the funeral itself.
I've been at funerals before where the family have put money behind the bar so that everyone can have one free drink on arrival, but honestly I think that's just going to be too expensive. On the other hand, most people will be driving so might not want alcohol anyway. Would you expect free bevvy at a funeral and would you be surprised if there wasn't?

ETA: the funeral is at 1215, so I think it's reasonable to provide a decent amount of food as it'll be lunchtime.
