Are you more hesitant to visit USA?

I lived there for most of his first term. I'm not especially put off applying for an ESTA by the social media rule specifically, at least not based on the limited information available so far about the policy. We saw similar announcements the first time around and they didn't come to all that much. When details of this implementation come out I might revise that opinion, but it'll probably be a bit of a storm in a teacup. Much like the long-standing question on the ESTA application that is roughly: "Are you a terrorist? Y/N" There are plenty of more concerning things happening over there currently. I have the privilege of being white, reasonably affluent, and unlikely to be personally targeted by any of them, but I don't want to be supporting them either. I am unlikely to be planning a trip back over the before the end of his second term, for unrelated family reasons, but if it did come up, those are the things that would make me pause for thought, not the social media rule. Realistically, it would matter to me which state(s) specifically I was visiting / passing through. The state matters a lot more than the federal government for the vast majority of a trip there - beyond the airport really.
