I just saw they made a movie about Doug White's king air landing. Looking forward to watching. I'm sure most of you have seen the youtube videos, if not I suggest searching doug white or niner delta whiskey . the live atc audio is worth a listen! Yeah I don't know if I ever replied back, I started watching the movie and it's awful Depicts the pilot as an idiot who has no idea what he is doing but I guess that's cinema for you.

MUCH of what is done for mass consumption diminishes the achievement of people like Doug White and Lisa Grimm. They dumbed down Doug's white male southern character and added a black character to play Grimm, the extremely intelligent savior of the show. This made it all the more distasteful to watch, and all the more an insult to the people who truly were heroes that day.

Yep. Doug was one of my dad’s friends, who he met through another friend. Doug is definitely not dumb. He made himself wealthy before he ever learned to fly a single engine Cessna years before the King Air event.

If you listen to the audio of the actual event, Doug White is cool, calm, and collected. Dennis Quaid depicted him as fearful and panicked, emotions that Doug White never outwardly exhibited, even if he felt them. Oh, and Heather Graham’s depiction of a northern Louisiana accent was beyond cringeworthy.

yeah The movie is totally offensive to doug white's handling of the situation.
