Oh, I'm so glad to hear that! We watch this with our kids (9 & 14) on Christmas Eve. It is a fun tradition and is my favorite version of "A Christmas Carol" ("Scrooged" is a very close second!).

Gummi Bears was one of the shows I was considering. The more I think about the show, the better it sounds. Something that both boys and girls would enjoy.

Gummi Bears had such a crazy, complicated universe where they had advanced technology they were trying to use to follow the rest of the Gummi Bears to New Gumbria, like submarines and something like a laser capable of something like Morse Code. Though I’m not sure they ever made it.

Some of the Disney Afternoon ones would be a good start: Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin. I would probably avoid the darker ones like Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles (at least at first).

I think this is it. I grew up with TMNT and GI Joe etc, have acquired many of them and while there's nostalgia I don't feel they hold up the same as that Disney afternoon block. I think you toss Animaniacs and Tiny Toons in and you're gold

When I was 5/6, I would get up at 6 am so I could catch The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin and Inspector Gadget before school. Astroboy was a favourite around 8. I also loved Jem and She-Ra (the Netflix She-Ra is way better, though). Ours was also the age of muppets, and I graduated from Sesame Street in pre-school to Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Show in grade school. Oh, and classic Animaniacs! They're too young for some of the humour, but so were we! Finally, the original Dragon Ball was targeted at younger audiences, and started out as a grand adventure with lots of humour!
