How long can you go without hearing any "news" programs?

I deliberately have News -fasts. Sometimes I get to the state after consuming too much political content where I actually find myself "air-talking" to political figures: * telling the head of the FBI that I want him to put all the original, unredacted Epstein files on the back of a truck and drive them round to the courthouse. Youve got one hour, I'll supply the truck * confronting Farage with the evidence of his financial backing from countries that are enemies of the UK, asking him how he has the nerve to complain about a broken economy and immigration problems when he is largely responsible for this, getting his usual reaction and calling him a liar repeatedly etc etc, I'm, sure I am not alone in this When I get to that state, I start the News-fast: * only watch recorded TV with no news involved * switch to alternate social media accounts (including reddit) where everything that could possibly be considered news is blocked * my family are also into this so we have a week where certain subjects are taboo. I find the experience remarkably refreshing. Calming even. It gives me the chance to realise there is fuck all I can do about any of this and so I should concentrate on the things that make me and my family feel good and fuck the rest of the world. I recommend it.
