Masthead rigging question

Greetings Brain Trust. Have a rigging question for you. I have two pins fore of the mast on my masthead. Currently the pin closest to the mast has a block for a spin halyard, and the furthest forward pin has my forestay and furler. I'd like to swap those so the spin halyard block is ahead of the forestay so it doesn't tangle or chafe. Would that be a problem from a rigging perspective? Or is there some law of the sea that says that the forestay must always occupy the furthest forward pin? Thanks all.

You still need a block for your jib halyard, no?

It's actually got a CDI furler with a built in halyard that you control from the drum. Kind of a weird setup.

You're right, that is odd. When you raise the jib, you'd put the furler foil into serious compression. I don't understand how that would work.

Someone rigged it wrong, the forward one is supposed to be for the spin halyard. Swap as you described and you'll be good to go.

Absolutely no problem. Actually, more to the point is that the way it is set up now is incorrect. A spinnaker halyard should ALWAYS be rigged outside the forestay....
