"Broken" 5060 Ti works just fine?

Companies are only required to honor warranties from authorized sellers, though that does depend on country-dependent laws. Typically, these warranties are also non-transferrable (meaning if a scalper buys a GPU, their customer does often not have warranty coverage). So yes, you should be aware that anything you buy that "*had* a warranty which *was* valid to the original buyer" is likely technically useless to you. The most important thing to note here is that this *sometimes* includes purchases from non-authorized resellers (so with big purchases from non-authorized resellers, you should always verify that the warranty applies to you). This can affect purchases from major retailers like Woot, Amazon Resale, and especially OEM imports unless the inclusion of a warranty is specifically noted. Even if it's marked on the box, make sure you read the fine print carefully especially if it has a high defective rate. While a company *may* give the customer the "courtesy" of replacing the item on these sales & products, in some cases they are using third-parties to insure warranties under these terms. Thus the company themselves may not be eligible to submit the claim to their insurance. In some cases, they may still choose to "honor it" even if it falls outside of their insurance and write it off as an expense for something like customer retention or branding expenses, but they have no obligation to. Truly, it depends on the company. The companies willing to do-so are just providing good customer support, being nice, it may be a one time courtesy that shouldn't be assumed to work next time, and their policy may change at any time. Personally, I know it's on me even though it's unfortunate a product failed while a warranty *should have applied.* But the product I bought was cheaper and part of why it's cheaper is because it doesn't come with a warranty and it isn't guaranteed to work the 2, 3, 5, or 10 years as written on the box. Does this mean you should completely avoid these products? I personally don't think so. In my recent build, my RAM does not qualify for the standard warranty as it's from an unauthorized seller, my AM5 motherboard does not qualify for the stated warranty as it was open-box, and my WD Black 2TB NVMe does not quality for a warranty as it was also open-box. But I also paid ~$300 for them, essentially got one free, but unfortunately I am the one who carries the risk for those.
