Flobert pistol update #1: Prototype slide and frame
Posted by inserttext1@reddit | GunnitRust | View on Reddit | 5 comments
This time with sauce cup for size comparison. I changed my mind on making it 1911 themed as the grip safety was going to be a challenge. So I’m doing it based off of the Browning hi-power. This is just a mock up print the frame will be reprinted in either SBS or PCTG, whichever comes back in stock first. The trigger guard ofc had to be removed as there was no way it was usable. The slide will be cast out of zamak with a small bit of steel for the breach face. The rest of the pieces will be aluminum, with the exception of the springs.

Is this being designed to shoot 6mm flobert semi-auto?
What is the calculated bolt weight overall?

Yes 6mm Flobert rounds, I’m going to try to shoot for around 100-120 grams given full sized 22 can run with a 160 gram bolt, but honestly that’s a guestimate as I can’t find any reliable information on the topic.

I had been looking into a printer, weighted 10/22 bolt for shooting super colibri and came out to about the same bolt weight range, so you're probably good.
