E8 Macro policy ML2 on a 365 business premium?

Hi Everyone,
Have anyone been successful on reaching ML2 macro policy with just office 365 business premium?
I know that most macro 365 policies only work on enterprise.
We were able to block editing macro policy settings in excel by blocking user edit rules on registry under microsoft but that's pretty much it.
Anyone done thesame thing or is it impossible with the current license we have.
Thanks in advance.

This is a functionality limitation of Microsoft Office - Group Policy support is limited on Business Basic and Business Premium. Reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/office-applications-service-description/office-applications-service-description

You can use M365 Maps to determine your minimum licensing requirements compared to the maturity level you are targeting. Made by Australian Microsoft employee, Aaron Dinnage.
Start here: https://m365maps.com/australia.htm to get a good list of links. Select Import Feature Maps and open up Level 2 and you can see what you can acheive with Business Premium.
The Licensing Diagram gives you a bird's eye view of which features can help acheive certian maturity levels.

Thank you very much for this. Took a quick pick in it. Didn't see Macro policies in the feature map. The diagram did show it tho.
Will check more later.

Nope it's not possible. You can put the settings in the registry but only as preferences (so the user can undo them) and that's not compliant. The policy settings absolutely will not apply.

I see, I guess that confirms it.
We came to a point where we were able to block users from editing excel macro settings by going to that settings' registry and blocking edit access on the user and thought we solved everything and would be able to do thesame on other policies.
