What seemed like a great country to move to when you were younger, but now the idea doesn't seem that great?

Parts of Europe seemed so much nicer than here, so much sunnier and more laid-back. There's always TV shows of people moving out to a sunny space and saying how happy they are, but climate change in particular means that a lot of these pleasant looking places are regularly lethally hot if not actually in flames. The same could be said swathes of Australia.
